We are thinking he is probably a border collie/terrier mix. He is vaccinated, crate trained, and potty trained, and he does well with other dogs and is kid friendly. We are rehoming Lou due to his prey drive as he has killed a chicken and continues to focused on them, so he will need a home that can safely manage this behavior and does not have small livestock or free-roaming small animals. Dante is a dazzler! With his lush, shiny coat and expressive, bright eyes, he sparkles. He did great on a recent day trip, loading and unloading into the car easily. Being a lover boy, he gave plenty of kisses to start the journey.On a long walk in the country, he met a herd of cows. He studied them carefully before barking at one that came close to the fence. He also barked at some dogs on an adjacent trail.He could hardly contain his excitement with all the new sights and became a little overstimulated, but he was easy to redirect.He may not be a good fit for a home with small children.All in all, he's an adorable Muppet who will be an amazing companion for an experienced handler who can give him the structure he needs to be his best. Kaiyu was a stray found on the street 5 years ago. He was found to have been shot with a BB gun and still has a couple of BB pellets in him that are not safe to remove. He is very easy to train as he is highly food motivated. He knows most commands and is crate and potty trained. He is always excited to meet people and does well with other dogs. He was found to have an ear polyp in his right ear that is not bothering him and was recently diagnosed with a salivary sialocele that has been managed with steroids. He is an amazing dog that also just likes to lounge around with you all day.

If you love herding dogs and are looking for a velcro dog, Molly is your girl! This sweetheart is absolutely dedicated to her human. Molly will attempt to hug you every second of every minute she is with you. Trying to pick something up off the floor? Nope, you're getting smothered in kisses. Want to go to the bathroom by yourself? Uh un, no you may not shut that door without this sleek little shadow zipping in faster than lightning. Molly was brought to the shelter as a stray, and her coat and behaviors show she was out on a grand adventure for a bit. Now that she is clean and groomed, this black beauty is a cuddle bug who easily redirects from inspecting the trash. Molly needs slow introductions to other dogs and does well with submissive dogs. She does very well with redirection and distraction when she starts to get antsy around other dogs. Really, these behaviors are insecurity of her environment, but she has learned to adapt to pack life quite easily. Her herding instincts are very strong and she loves to play with the herding ball and direct the other dogs in games of chase. Molly has not been tested with cats, but she would likely chase them. She is a little nervous when loose in the car, but rides very well in her kennel. She likes to bark at grey trucks in particular. Molly is approximately 2 years old, is spayed, and is UTD on her vaccinations. She will need an active family who can give her the exercise and mental stimulation this girl needs to thrive!

Blue is a 4 year old neutered male cattle dog mix with one blue eye and one brown! He is very sweet with people and dogs once he warms up to them. He has not been observed around young children. He is very interested in cats but can live with them if supervised. He loves being pet and playing with toys. He is medium energy: he is happy to play in the yard and lay on the couch. He is potty trained but can have accidents. Blue came from a neglectful environment where he was kept outdoors 24/7 with no interaction and limited resources. Adopted as a puppy through HFP back in 2020, Indigo is looking for a quiet, calm adult home as your one and only! ✅ no separation anxiety ✅ housetrained, crate trained ✅ wonderful base of basic training ✅ smart & trainable ✅ cutest submissive grin/wiggle butt when you come home ✅ moderate activity (relaxed inside but loves to fetch and play!) ✅ doing much better at car travel He was adopted as a 4 month old puppy through HFP but sadly returned 3 years later -- he is currently in a Sacramento Foster home but is really in need of a home of his very own as his foster cannot keep him forever. More about Isco: he has a great base of training and ready to impress you with all his cues, including: Sit, Wait/Stay, Bed, Crate, Down and Off. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull a ton. He LOVES to sniff everything during his walkies aka Sniffaris ( but doesn’t stop to mark, only sniff). He would do best in a quieter neighborhood as very busy places can make him nervous. Moderate energy -- he loves playing fetch in the backyard and a long daily walk would be ideal for Isco. In the home he is relaxed and independent. He has lived with 2 small dogs in the past and may be able to make dog acquaintances with slow intros but does not have a ton of experience with other dogs at this time. He would do best as prince of the palace as a solo dog in the home. Indigo previously lived with a cat who he loved to play with but can chase other cats, he may do well in a home with a well-matched cat friends; we ALWAYS recommend slow intros into the home/early separation for cats/dogs as they get to know one another. Indigo has the CUTEST prance and loves to play fetch. He is treat motivated which makes continued training and intros to people much more of a breeze. Housetrained, Crate Trained, around 55 lbs. Neutered, Vaccinated, Vetted, ready to be yours! Indigo adoption donation is sponsored. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means.
