Courtesy Post – Rehoming Needed This dog is not at the shelter. Meet Sasha – a loyal and intelligent 3-year-old female Border Collie/German Shepherd mix (black). &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Spayed/Neutered: Yes &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Vaccines: Yes &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Potty trained: Yes &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Crate trained: Yes Sasha has been with her family for 2 years after being adopted from a shelter. Sadly, due to housing challenges, she is now looking for a new home. She is friendly with children and has lived with both dogs and cats. Sasha enjoys being primarily indoors and is a devoted companion. With visitors, she does best when introduced calmly—she can get stressed if things feel too chaotic but warms up quickly once reassured. Sasha can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, so she will do best with a patient and experienced adopter who can continue her training and help her feel more secure. She is smart, affectionate, and eager to please—classic traits of both Border Collies and Shepherds. Sasha will thrive in a home where she has structure, engagement, and love. If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please contact her owner, Gianni, directly: Email: gianniwright3@gmail.com All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Courtesy Listing – Lou Name: Lou Age: 7 months Sex: Neutered male Lou is a young, friendly pup looking for the right home through a courtesy listing. We are thinking he is probably a border collie/terrier mix. He is vaccinated, crate trained, and potty trained, and he does well with other dogs and is kid friendly. We are rehoming Lou due to his prey drive as he has killed a chicken and continues to focused on them, so he will need a home that can safely manage this behavior and does not have small livestock or free-roaming small animals. He currently has no medical concerns. ***Please note: Lou is not located at the shelter and is not under the shelter’s care. This is a courtesy post to help his owner find a suitable placement. All inquiries will be directed to the owner.*** Contact: Lauren laurenblack721@gmail.com If you’re interested in Lou and believe your home may be a good fit, please reach out directly to the owner using the contact information above.   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
He is a smart, sensitive Border Collie acquired at 8 weeks old from an auction. His birthday is March 19, 2024. He is loyal, athletic, and highly intelligent, and he loves to run and explore. He thrives on structure, routine, and predictability, and does best when his days follow a consistent schedule. Recent life changes and an injury have increased his anxiety and reactivity, particularly during stress, confinement, or handling. He can become overly focused on his surroundings and has difficulty listening when other stimuli are present. Because he is high-energy and driven, he needs experienced handlers who can provide clear boundaries, consistent training, and appropriate outlets. This decision is heartbreaking, but due to behavior changes and my current pregnancy, I am unable to safely provide the level of structure and activity he needs to thrive. He would do best in an experienced, structured home that understands anxious or reactive dogs.

Story
Bonded sisters. Need to stay together. Rescued from Nevada desert. Other pups in litter were killed by coyotes. I took them in on a whim to help a friend. I’m moving 3k miles away soon and have horrible allergies that are worse with pets. Also I am battling severe depression and anxiety issues. I don’t have the motivation they deserve… I feel horrible. They are beautiful souls. Very vocal lil ladies. (akida side effects I’m sure) sweet as pie. Loving and VERY intelligent and playful. I just bit off more than I can chew. I tried to help a friend and ended up putting myself in a tight spot with out realizing the extra stress and commitment I got myself into. They deserve a better life. Please help and please love these beautiful babies. They are truly amazing I just can’t for so many reasons at this point in my life. Thank you for considering these beautiful girls as a part of your family. I tried. I just can’t… and don’t want to drag them 3k miles when I move. July 14th 2024 birthday.

Story
Blue is a 4 year old neutered male cattle dog mix with one blue eye and one brown! He is very sweet with people and dogs once he warms up to them. He has not been observed around young children. He is very interested in cats but can live with them if supervised. He loves being pet and playing with toys. He is medium energy: he is happy to play in the yard and lay on the couch. He is potty trained but can have accidents. Blue came from a neglectful environment where he was kept outdoors 24/7 with no interaction and limited resources. Due to the circumstances of his case, we cannot publish photos of him, but we will happily provide them if you reach out.

Story
To apply or learn more about Isco, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/2/isco Indigo is a 4 yr neutered cattle dog whippet mix (best guess) in need of a special home! Adopted as a puppy through HFP back in 2020, Indigo is looking for a quiet, calm adult home as your one and only! ✅ no separation anxiety ✅ housetrained, crate trained ✅ wonderful base of basic training ✅ smart & trainable ✅ cutest submissive grin/wiggle butt when you come home ✅ moderate activity (relaxed inside but loves to fetch and play!) ✅ doing much better at car travel He was adopted as a 4 month old puppy through HFP but sadly returned 3 years later -- he is currently in a Sacramento Foster home but is really in need of a home of his very own as his foster cannot keep him forever. More about Isco: he has a great base of training and ready to impress you with all his cues, including: Sit, Wait/Stay, Bed, Crate, Down and Off. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull a ton. He LOVES to sniff everything during his walkies aka Sniffaris ( but doesn’t stop to mark, only sniff). He would do best in a quieter neighborhood as very busy places can make him nervous. Moderate energy -- he loves playing fetch in the backyard and a long daily walk would be ideal for Isco. In the home he is relaxed and independent. He has lived with 2 small dogs in the past and may be able to make dog acquaintances with slow intros but does not have a ton of experience with other dogs at this time. He would do best as prince of the palace as a solo dog in the home. Indigo previously lived with a cat who he loved to play with but can chase other cats, he may do well in a home with a well-matched cat friends; we ALWAYS recommend slow intros into the home/early separation for cats/dogs as they get to know one another. Indigo has the CUTEST prance and loves to play fetch. He is treat motivated which makes continued training and intros to people much more of a breeze. Housetrained, Crate Trained, around 55 lbs. Neutered, Vaccinated, Vetted, ready to be yours! Indigo adoption donation is sponsored. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!
