Story
Howler is a 1 year old intact male Australian Shepherd mix. He is looking for a new home as his current owner cannot keep him. He was born and raised on a farm and has working dog energy. He requires lots of mental and physical stimulation. His current owners keep him outside, so it is unknown how he does in a home environment. Howler has shown some possession issues and has been aggressive over food.  If you are interested in meeting Howler, please reach out to his current owners at: nicolesabate97@gmail.com All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Anorie is a gorgeous two year old, Australian shepherd. We got her at six months old from a lady who breeds and trains herding dogs. We do feel she might've been beaten by the breeders' ex-boyfriend who docked her tail without the breeders' permission, as Anorie does fear men. We have kept up on vet visits, vaccinations, and heart worm preventative. Unfortunately, I can't afford the behavioral trainer she needs. Anorie is possessive of all food/treats, anxious, and has bit our other (Large and small) dogs multiple times without aggression from their side possibly due to her territorial boundaries. She does very well with my toddler and wife; she is normally submissive, incredibly smart and has great recall.

Story
Amore is a male dog that we think is half australian sheppard and half pit bull. He sleeps in a kennel at night. He is nice to the family and other dogs from our friends and other families. He has all his shots and is neutered. My boyfriend and I just had a baby and cannot afford to keep Amore nor do we have the enegry to take car of him. He is staying with my parents (Monika and Matthew) until we can find him a new home. Thanks. Kathryn

Story
I have had Kilo ever since he was a pup and have been his only owner. We’ve traveled from Arizona to Texas and now Northern California together. I have since become terribly allergic to him and I’m always sick now because my allergies lead to infections when present for extended periods of time. Due to this he’s always in his cage now and far from me. We don’t play as much and I feel terrible. I want him to feel loved and be played with. He has a puppy spirit, extremely smart, loves to be petted, LOVES food and treats, long walks are his favorite, he loves turtle stuffed animals also. He needs to be in a home that preferably has no other dogs. He has been attacked by dogs he’s been around and had relationships with out of the blue and now has PTSD and trust problems. With that being said his new owner must be aware that they must be patient on walks because he can be reactive and they CANNOT take him to dog parks.

Story
Meet the precious Polly (Pollie). She is an approximately 10-11 week-old (DOB 01/09/25) and weighs 11.8-pounds. Polly is an Aussie/Labrador mix with a soft and wavy coat she is black w/ white and has gorgeous hazel eyes that makes her even more lovable. We think that both Polly and Rollie will grow to be medium sized dogs. Polly and her brother Rollie are available for adoption together or separately. While she may be a little shy, Polly (Pollie's) sweet nature shines through, she loves playing with her brother. As a puppy, she will need more house training, she will also require leash training when she’s old enough. Are you ready to experience the joy of raising a new companion? Polly is already microchipped and vaccinated, she is scheduled to be spayed soon. Please note that she will require a rabies vaccine when she turns 4 months old. Polly is ready to bring love and joy to your family. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to welcome this sweet girl into your home! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
