Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

Story
To apply or see more of Nellie, https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/nelliemama LOOKING FOR FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT, OR DIRECT ADOPTION Nellie was originally rescued in March 2020 from the Porterville Shelter with her 9 puppies. She was the most amazing mother to her little ones! Nellie was adopted in the spring of 2020, but now in need of a new home: She is great with kids and babies! She lives with cats and may do well with well-matched cats given proper intros, early separation, and management Nellie LOVES water, swimming and playing fetch Nellie is house-trained She would love a home with a big backyard and a flexible or WFH schedule While she lives with a dog currently, she got in a scuffle with her doggy sibling a few times over the past 2.5 years and the family feels they can no longer be in the home with each other anymore. While Nellie is, more often than not, good with dogs, we would recommend that she be your one and only. She is not reactive to dogs, but muzzle training is a great tool to provide peace of mind around other dogs She is timid with new people, but is gentle and bonds strongly with her circle. Nellie is 50 lbs, 4-5 years old, spayed, and vaccinated Nellie is currently located in CHICO, CA Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Housetrained and using a doggy door. We love this boy! He is a foster favorite for his good behavior. Story
Howdy YALL! I'm Georgia, I am the new girl around this place called Calpaws K9 Rescue! I am living with this nice woman and her hubby local to Livermore, CA but willing to travel for the right home. I flew in from the Central Valley (yes road great on a private plane) where I was at a boarding facility. I was 1 of 4 pups that were dropped off there after our backyard breeder couldn't get rid of us. I guess there are too many puppies in the world. Thankfully I landed here. My foster mom and dad said I shouldnt brag about myself so they wrote a little something about me and here it is…. “Georgia is super shy at first but her goofy personality really shines after a few minutes together. She sleeps well in a crate and goes potty outside almost 100% of the time. She currently knows to sit, down, and come but they are newer commands to her so she doesn’t get them all the time. She’s a real cuddle bug and loves to sit next to you on the couch. She really loves other dogs and takes being corrected by other dogs well. She’s pretty respectful of other dogs' space and boundaries. She is okay with cats but she likes to chase them so it’s entirely dependent on the cat in the home if they will tolerate her. She walks very well on a leash but sometimes gets spooked by new or loud sounds and will stop walking until you tell her it’s okay. She loves water and has no problems with baths! She’ll even try to join you in the shower if you let her. She's a perfect shotgun rider and would love a road trip or two. She shares well, whether it’s food, toys, or space!! “ Awww… thanks Foster Mom. You are so nice! I can't wait to find my forever home I hope that I sound good to you! If I do head to www.calpaws.org and fill out a application! ##2096330##
