Story
Abby is an energetic Siberian husky and Australian Shepherd mix. She is sweet with dogs and people. She is 3 years old. I got her at the Bradshaw dog shelter. I am giving her up because I live in an apartment and she needs a place with a yard she needs to go outside. Her favorite activity is to go for a walk. She would be great for a family and she is spayed. She is a high spirited dog lots of energy. But when it is hot outside she lays down and is very still. She is sweet but she will make a great watchdog.

Story
Cheesy is a young Australian Shepherd x Pittie mix who is as smart as he is charming. He is an active, thoughtful dog who will do best with an experienced adopter ready to continue his training and help him keep building confidence. His early life was marked by significant neglect. He was originally found stray in April 2025 with a heavy chain on his neck and a thick wire wrapped around his muzzle, trauma that understandably left him cautious and unsure for a time. Since then, he has made tremendous progress and continues to show just how adaptable and resilient he is. He is fully potty trained, walks nicely at heel, and has great natural manners. He will often settle into a down position on his own while you are standing around chatting, and is very comfortable with his crate. Cheesy is highly trainable, loves to learn, and genuinely enjoys engaging with his people. He is affectionate, attentive, and eager to be part of a stable home where he can continue to thrive. He currently needs an adults-only home as the only pet. With the right match, Cheesy has everything it takes to be an incredibly loyal, fun, and rewarding companion. To set Cheesy up for success, all appointments are scheduled off-site with his primary handler. Email adopt@yoloshelter.org to set up an appointment!February 17, 2026, 4:36 pm

Story
Junco was found stray covered in mud in the outskirts of Woodland. He had no identification or microchip and no one has come to claim him. He can be a bit shy when we try to leash him for walks but his love for treats always wins him over and he cooperates so gently. He is built like a jumbo Australian Shepherd with just a little nubbin for a tail, but has the size and floof of a Great Pyrenees. He has an EXCELLENT `heel` on walks with zero pulling. He even slows down to match your pace and will sometimes even press his big floofy body against your legs during the walk.Junco is somewhat alert when he sees other dogs and turkeys when walking around the shelter, but he has not barked and does not try to pull or lunge. Instead, he presses closer to you to make sure everyone is OK before continuing on his walk.Schedule an appointment to meet Junco at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.orgFebruary 17, 2026, 4:36 pm

Story
Meet incredible Mojo💙, a resilient pup who's overcome adversity and is now ready to thrive😻! He's just over a year old, 50lbs, and boasts a unique appearance that's sure to captivate. With a heart of gold💛 , Mojo is one of the kindest dogs you'll ever meet, and his calm demeanor makes him a true gem💎. It's fascinating to imagine his breed mix, but one thing's certain - he's a natural-born herder with a flair for the dramatic. Mojo's piercing blue eyes, distinctive coat, and ridiculously soft fur make him a true showstopper, and his big fluff tail is the icing on the cake😍. We're utterly smitten with this charming boy!🥰 How could anyone abandon such a treasure to face an uncertain fate in a high kill shelter? We're thrilled to have saved him from euthanasia just in the nick of time, and now he's ready to find his forever home🏡 . As a neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped pup, Mojo is all set to bring joy to his new family🤩. He's fantastic with dogs of all sizes, from tiny puppies to larger companions, and he's a total loverboy at heart❤️ . Don't miss your chance to welcome this amazing pup into your life - apply now and get ready for a lifetime of love and adventure with Mojo!🐶 Currently being cared for in Southern California, Mojo can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome him.

Story
Forest is a sweet little medium to high energy Chihuahua and Border Collie mix. He was born around 9/1/2024 and currently weighs 20 lbs. His DNA test came back with 15 breeds and Chihuahua/Border Collie were the highest %'s. Forest is playful, loyal and smart. He likes the company of other friendly dogs and likes playing chase and wrestling with them. He is beginning to enjoy balls and toys and will occasionally play with them. He Iikes chewing on bully sticks and other chew toys and bones. He loves going for walks, hiking and will swim sometimes. In the evenings he enjoys couch time with his humans. He desires to be a large part of his family’s life and likes being included in daily activities. Forest can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, calm introductions. He has a tendency to be somewhat timid but his confidence has grown quite a bit in his foster home. Once he is comfortable in a home he is a happy, delightful, playful and cuddly boy. He has a preference for women but does warm up to men in time. Forest is crate trained, walks politely on a leash and is house broken in his foster home. He currently lives with friendly dogs of various sizes and gets a long well with them. He also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm him so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. He would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. He enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. Forest would do well in an active home with a confident, playful dog companion to help boost his confidence, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would not do well with an overly dominant dog who bullies him. A person who has the time, patience and willingness to work with a shy dog would be ideal. Forest is a sweet, playful dog who is a joy to foster. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
