(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

Story
To apply or see more of Aisha, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/6/aisha Adoptable Aisha has been overlooked for far too long! Rescued at 5-6 months old from Bradshaw shelter last fall, she is about 1 year old now and SO ready to find her forever home. We think she’s definitely got border collie in there and she’s very petite. She lives with dogs, chickens, has excellent on leash and off leash skills, house-trained and crate trained. While she can play play play, she can also relax and has been absolute perfection at adoption events. Her story below: Hey! I'm Aisha, a sweet and gentle 1 year old border collie/whippet (or at least that's the humans’ best guess about my mix). I’m 54 lbs and full grown. I was rescued from the Bradshaw Animal Shelter, found as a stray with my four siblings. Life before that is a bit of a mystery, but one thing's for sure – my future will be filled with better days! I'm good with dogs, and you know what? I might even do best in a home with a dog friend. Oh and get this! Running is one of my favorite activities, so if you need a jogging buddy, count me in! I'm currently living with three other dogs, and guess what? I'm good with chickens! With a slow introduction, I might even do well with cats. $250 Adoption Donation includes: Spay, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Aisha is currently being fostered in GARDEN VALLEY, CA. DOB around 4/5/2023 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Monk is being fostered in VACAVILLE, CA Estimated DOB: 12/1/2023 $450 adoption donation includes includes age-appropriate shots, microchip with free lifetime registry, deworming, flea preventative, and spay/neuter agreement addendum Ideal home will: Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs. Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training. Story
It's pretty impossible not to love Ahi! Ahi is a 1-year-old goofball who is always on the lookout for fun. Like a true herding breed dog, she loves to always be on the move and is a smart girl who loves to learn. She is a special girl as she was born deaf, but that doesn't stop her from being a happy-go-lucky pup. Ahi is full-grown at just under 40lbs. Ahi is currently being fostered by the family who adopted her sister. Unfortunately, Ahi's previous owners were not able to keep up with her exercise requirements and she was returned to the person who bred her mom. Once her foster family heard about her, they wasted no time to come to her rescue and we were happy to make her a YCSPCA dog and help find her fur-ever home. Ahi is a confident girl who loves to explore and make new friends. She has come to a few adoption events and has blown us away with how social she is out and about. She would be a great dog for someone who likes to go to dog-friendly breweries. She is a higher-energy girl, so she needs an active family that will ensure she gets lots of daily exercise and enrichment to keep her busy mind and body happy. She is still learning all her basic manners (especially how to not get too excited when saying hello), so her new family will need to be committed to working on her training and helping her learn how to be the best girl she can be. She is VERY food-motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Ahi's lack of hearing doesn't slow her down one bit, but training can be a little more difficult since she can't hear. She needs a dog-savvy family that has experience with deaf dogs or is eager to learn how to work with her and possibly hire a professional trainer to learn how to communicate with Ahi. Ahi loves other dogs, but not all dogs are the biggest fan of her boisterous play style, so she may do best as the only dog in the home. She has made a few dog friends and loves to have playdates with her best buds. Ahi needs a cat-free and adult-only home. Ahi is housetrained in her foster home, but her new family should be patient with her while she is settling into a new home and routine and expect a few accidents. Ahi is crate-trained and does well in her crate overnight and when her foster family isn't home. Ahi is such a rockstar dog and we know she is going to make a great companion for the right family. If she sounds like the right-hand girl for you, submit an adoption application today!   Ahi's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm and started on preventatives, and are given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. April 22, 2024, 10:47 pm

Story
Hey, I’m Big Boy and you can see my story HERE! I really want to get out of here. I love humans and that’s who I wanna be with. I am an easy-going guy on the leash. Outside, I can be a little skittish but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to go on adventures. I love treats and they can motivate me to do a lot of different things. I think my favorite thing is cuddles and when you stop petting me, I put my paw on you in the gentle, sweetest way. I am currently paired with my buddy, Bulldog. You don’t have to adopt us together but Bulldog is pretty scared here and I hope he finds a good home, too. Unfortunately, we are both in the back out of public view. Please ask to meet us today!

These pups are in Woodland, California too!

Story
*Courtesy post, if interested please contact dog owner at benny3tan@gmail.com or (916) 599-9664 *  My pet's name is Myla, she is a purebred Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, and she isalmost 4 years of age. She is the sweetest thing, and she will treat you, your family, andfriends with the same amount of love, attention, and care as you give her, if not more. One of the biggest things that I adore about her is the fact that she will literally come upto your bed when you tell her to, and cuddle with you for hours without end. Anotherthing she loves is head scratches, and she puts on her most derpy-est happy face whenyou do so (she often has her tongue out of the side when you're petting her). As with anyAussie, she is very intelligent and very active, so preferably, she is in the best care withsomeone who can provide her with adequate mental and physical stimulation. She is agreat in-door dog, and she doesn't often mess with any household items, furniture, etc.,except for things like food packages (which doesn't happen very often) and her soft toysusually. I have only had her for 10 weeks, so about 2 and a half months, and she was ableto behave and get attached to me and my housemates pretty well, despite being with herprevious owners for the majority of her young years. I got her from my friend’s friend’sfamily, and they were unable to keep her because of housing issues, and I believe therewas no official breeder of the dog, just accidental litter from a mutual.I am currently a 4th-year college student, attempting to graduate this year, with a lot onmy plate. I believe as a single dog parent living in a small apartment with 3 otherhousemates, I don’t think I can provide Myla with the happiness she deserves and theattention she needs as a working dog breed, given my mental and physical capacity. Itwas my first time owning an actual dog myself, and I believe I underestimated howmuch time and effort it takes to care for a pet. One of the biggest issues has been hersocialization behavior, with other animals, especially dogs. Whenever I take her out onwalks, and she sees another animal, she would react very aggressively (lashing, pulling, lunging, showing fangs, growling, barking, salivating). I don’t have the financial meansor the overall energy to get her into behavioral training or train her myself. So I amlooking for owners (preferably families) who are capable and are willing to go throughthat for her.She is also up to date with most of her shots, but will be needing them soon, and doeshave some flea scabs, but no fleas. She has been eating dry kibble (Blue Buffalo Brand),and I think she likes salmon the most, then chicken, then beef, from my own testingexperience. She will often sleep on the floor, I have carpet in my apartment, and I don’tknow how she reacts with a dog bed as I don’t own one for her. She also loves being inthe car.I will be able to provide her shot record from the previous owners as I have only had herfor a short time, and any more information as requested or required.  Please let me know or contact me if you have any more questions! *Courtesy post, if interested please contact dog owner at benny3tan@gmail.com or (916) 599-9664 *  All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Story
************COURTESY POST***** NOT AT THE SHELTER SEE NUMBER TO CALL BELOW***** Hello, I'm Maximus, but my friends call me Max. I celebrated my third birthday in September 2023. Max is a well-behaved pup who responds to both verbal and non-verbal commands. He's crate-trained, full of energy, and thrives when given tasks to do. We believe he's an Australian Kelpie mix with some other breed. Max walks excellently on a harness and leash. Outdoors, Max can be protective if someone approaches too closely to him or his loved ones. He grew up in a household with another older dog, birds, and children. Due to changes in our circumstances, we need to find a new home for Max. He deserves to have more freedom than an apartment can provide, especially while we're away at work. Additionally, with a baby on the way in March, we worry that Max may not adjust well to the change, as he's used to interacting with slightly older children. If you have any questions or if I've missed any important details, please feel free to reach out to me at 530-554-5091. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
