Story
Monkey is a 20 lbs, 1 year old guy. While he looks like a bearded collie, he is actually an Australian Shepherd/Cairn Terrier mix. Monkey likes to monkey around. He doesn’t climb trees though, nope that’s not his style. Monkey climbs fences! He’s a master of it! Although, he tends to do it just to get where his person is. Monkey bonds very hard to his human and would very much appreciate a person looking to bond with him. He’s dog and cat friendly, but little humans and strangers are scary for him. Monkey is working on his leash skills but for now a securely fenced in yard is required because leash cv walks aren’t his jam. At 1 year old, Monkey hasn’t seen much of the world yet. He was raised in the same home as his canine mom, dad, and siblings since birth and is just learning about life outside of his home now that he’s in foster care. Monkey is looking for a patient, affectionate, human that’s home often to spend time with him. Monkey is in foster in Fort Lupton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/monkey. Story
Nala is a sensitive, 3 year old, mini Aussie. She’s petite at only 28 lbs! Nala is looking for a multi-dog home. She adores kiddos and warms up pretty quickly to women. Men are scary for her, so an all female home (male kiddos are fine) would suit her beautifully. She will take a patient human that will love her while she settles in. Once she does, she loves to snuggle and you can bet she will join you up on your bed at night. Nala is great with dogs and derives her confidence from them. She also needs a fenced in yard and a doggie door. Nala is being fostered in Brighton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/nala/. Story
Mabel is a friendly and enjoyable girl who loves her people but also likes to play and adventure. She has been well socialized and enjoys people and other dogs. She is now completely comfortable living in a house, being on a couch, and snuggling in for a movie. She plays with the other dog in the house and has come into her own and shows her "Aussie" silliness often. She still loves being outside and going for runs and being with her people. She is house trained and likes to follow her people around the house. Mabel smiles often and relaxes sleeping by your feet while you work or read. She is still learning all that there is to know about being in fenced in area and things like going for walks and crossing bridges or meeting with new unknown things, but she is intelligent and loving and wants to do everything with her energy and her mind. Mabel has good recall and comes back excitedly when called. She is going to be an incredible companion while hiking and camping, or going for runs! She is excited to meet everyone, but really wants to meet her forever!

Story
Hi my name is Hazel and I am pretty shy, but with the help of my foster mom I am coming out of my shell. I like to go for walks, but in a calm and quiet area. I like cats... but like to chase them. So I should probably be in a house without them. I like other dogs, and being around a confident dog would probably help me gain my own self-confidence. Small kids would probably be too much for me, but older kids that can respect my need for a calm environment, would be just fine with me. Please someone just give me a chance. This animal is in a foster home. If you would like to meet this animal, go to www.souldog.org to fill out an adoption application. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet. We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.
