Story
Does your dog need a dog? meet Cheezums! She is not a dingo, but her satellite ears say otherwise! this curious little girl has stolen our hearts. She is extremely shy with humans at first and might not love living in a home with small kiddos. Cheezums is being fostered at a doggie daycare and adores the 10 dogs she gets to play with each day. In fact, she would do best living with a confident dog instead of by herself. She is so adorable and sweet, as she is slowly lowering her guard to her foster mommy and daddy. When given time, she will come up to cover you with kisses on her own terms. she is crate-trained and potty trained with a dog door. Cheezums is so smart, as she figured out the dog door and food closet right away! If you have a confident dog who wants a companion, apply for cheezums at souldog.org to set up a meeting!

Story
Lovely Lucy is as sweet as they come. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but behind those bright blue eyes is an affectionate, playful girl who simply wants to be won over by someone who is consistent and safe. We believe Lucy is an Australian Shepherd mix with a beautiful copper coat. She absolutely adores toys and likes to keep her favorites close by. She’s been taking notes from her foster brother, who has helped show her that life can be pretty wonderful. Every day she becomes a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more herself. Lucy is crate trained and having her own space helps her feel safe. She walks nicely on leash in quieter or familiar environments and is doing well with housetraining when kept on a consistent routine. Lucy is 1.5 years old and around 55 lbs. She would thrive in a calm home with people who understand that trust isn’t rushed—it’s earned. In return, you’ll get to watch a truly special dog blossom into the loyal companion she was always meant to be. Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves. Lucy keeps hers tucked away until she knows she’s safe. Once she does, it’s a beautiful thing to be part of. Lucy is in foster in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/lucy/. Story
Cadbury, aka Caddy, is a 1-2 year old Aussie/shepherd mix, that weighs around 45 lbs. He was found with a pack of stray dogs in Houston and was taken to the shelter. We doubt Caddy was on the streets for long with as friendly and healthy as he is. Unfortunately, he had no ID and was never claimed. Shelter volunteers were a fan of Caddy and reported good behavior in his kennel, nice leash walking skills, and of course noticed his good looks and bubbly personality. Now that we’ve met him, we agree! He’s adjusting nicely in a foster home. Caddy is a playful guy who would like a home with a fenced yard and adventures when possible! But he’s also down for a good snuggle session. Caddy doesn’t know much yet as far as training but is very eager to learn and very food motivated, so he’s ready to be a sponge and soak up all the new experiences he can. Please apply for this fella; he’s a handsome catch. Cadbury is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/cadbury You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Maggie and Ollie are a bonded older duo looking to settle into a new home together! If you`re interested in opening your home and heart for two adorable pups instead of just one, these might be the pair for you. We`re even offering them at a 2-for-1 adoption price to help keep them together in their next home! They can be a bit reserved at first and will need time to transition out of the shelter, but with a little time, they blossom and let their sweet personalities shine! At this time, HSBV will only rehome them to a family either without children or with children over the age of 10.
