While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. Because of this we have seen a change in Cleo; her anxiety and skin allergies have become worse, and our apartment complex has warned us about her barking. Story
Luna is a sweet, friendly older girl born in 2016 who weighs about 40 lbs. She has been with the same family for nearly 10 years and is very loved. She enjoys being around people, getting back scratches, and being close to her family. Our family has become very busy, and unfortunately, we aren’t able to give Luna the time and attention she deserves. We are hoping to find her a loving home where she can receive plenty of companionship and care. Luna gets anxious during storms and will want to stay close to you for comfort. She is otherwise very friendly and affectionate. We also want to be transparent about her health. Luna currently has a limp in one of her back legs and is not putting much weight on it. She has been seen by a vet and is taking anti-inflammatory and pain medication, but we have not been able to determine the underlying cause because further veterinary care is more than we can currently afford. This is a very difficult decision and we want to find Luna a loving home

Story
This is Penny Sue. She is the sweetest girl. She knows how to sit, shack, lay down, and has good recall. Her favorite games are fetch and frisbee but also loves to go on walks, hikes, and swimming. Penny is 10 years old and has been with us since she was a puppy. However, something has happened between her and our other female dog and they no longer can be around each other. Which has made both of their abilities to roam free through our home and yard very hard. Penny has never not gotten along with any other animal and loves our other dogs and cats. We would love for Penny to go to a home with property where she can have the freedoms she no longer has at our home. She was raised on a goat farm in TN and was trusted with livestock, but she is older now and enjoys long naps and snuggling more than herding. I don’t want her to go, but keeping her is selfish when she deserves the best. I would love to keep in contact and receive pictures of her. Maybe even visit periodically.

Ozzy is a 3-year-old male purebred Australian Shepherd. He is very sweet, energetic, and loves to be rubbed and brushed. He has not shown any signs of aggression and gets along well with other dogs. He hasn’t lived with kids or cats, but due to his friendly personality, I don’t think that would be an issue. The ideal home for Ozzy includes a gated yard with plenty of space so he can run around, and a new owner who can give him lots of attention and tummy rubs :)
