Story
Ellie is a 7 year old mini Australian shepherd. She has a lot of energy and loves to play! She really enjoys going for walks and runs, though she may need some leash training. She’s a very curious girl and loves sniffing and licking everything. She does have to be on a low fat diet otherwise she gets an upset stomach. She would probably do best in a fenced in backyard.

Story
Lincoln is such a sweet Australian shepherd and border collie puppy. He’s a gorgeous red merle with an amazing personality. He is a teeny bit shy at first, but comes around quickly. Lincoln reads signals so well with other dogs and watches and mirrors what they do. If they’re playing, he’ll play. If they’re napping, he’ll nap. He plays well with others but is also fine entertaining himself. Lincoln is mostly housebroken and is perfect in his crate. He’s very calm in the house and is wonderful overnight. He loves toys, balls, and sticks and is affectionate, but not overly clingy. Lincoln has some light sensitivity, but it doesn’t affect his vision. Lincoln needs a home with a fenced-in yard. He would love a playful dog but would be fine being the center of attention. This sweet and handsome pup is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##1974520##

Story
Toby is a gorgeous adult Australian shepherd who came to rescue after a pretty sheltered life. He was very timid when he first got here and needs to learn that the world is a safe, fun place. Even though he’s shy, he’s very curious and interested about new things. He is just starting to go on walks and loves sniffing and exploring at the park. He’s going to be a great walking buddy. Toby will go to his crate if he is overwhelmed, but is spending more and more time checking out his home. The resident puppy in his foster home taught him about chew toys and he’s learning to play. Toby is very gentle, loving, and calm. He adores attention and just hanging out around his people. Like everyone, he gets excited at meal time! Toby knows hand signals and verbal commands including sit, out, good boy, touch, and here. He is completely house trained and is perfect in his crate. But he’s trustworthy when he’s left free in the home when he’s alone. Toby needs a fenced-in yard and would probably do best in a relatively quiet home. He would do fine with or without another dog. But his main requirements are patience and love. ##1610683##

Story
Duchess is the sweetest Australian shepherd senior. She was found as a stray, wandering the streets, and was so emaciated and lethargic that the shelter workers who found her didn’t think she would make it. Now, not only is she feeling better, but she has figured out how much she loves soft beds, people, and even playing ball. Duchess is about 13 years old. She has limited hearing and some vision issues, but she certainly is able to communicate with her people. She loves attention and will chase a ball or toy if you toss it nearby. She spends most of the day snuggled in her bed, but she will perk up every once in a while and really likes to wander around the yard. Duchess is completely potty trained and is fine in a crate, but she doesn’t need one. She’s very good on a leash. She walks slowly but enjoys sniffing and strolling. She’s interested in other dogs but doesn’t interact with them much. She’d prefer a single-story home or one with just a few steps. A fenced-in yard would be perfect so she can explore outdoors safely. Her ideal forever home would be relatively quiet, yet with people around. She’s fine alone but enjoys the company. She’s very quiet and truly just wants to be loved. Duchess is being fostered in the St. Louis area and she sure would love to spend her days with someone who can give her the love and attention she deserves.  ##1960539##

Story
The tango is a dance that focuses on flair, love, and playful movement. We think our little Tango puppy was well-named. This Aussie mix is sweet, loving, and snuggly. But he’s also very playful and full of personality and can even be independent at times. He is a very busy, very nosy boy who always likes to know what’s going on. And he looks great while he’s doing it! Tango has so many favorite activities. He loves to explore, play tug of war, and sit on his person’s lap. Tango mostly loves other dogs and wants to run and wrestle with them but he needs some time to warm up to them. Tango is hearing and vision impaired, but it doesn't stop him from dancing through life. He is a smart boy and has already learned “sit” and is working on “come” and “stay.” He’s also doing great with house training and crate training. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and another dog buddy. And perhaps a dance floor. ##1475452##

Story
Devante has the most fantastic mane of hair. He looks a little like a lion and he certainly has the big cat’s bravery. But this sweet mini Aussie has a gentle heart. Devante was hit by a car dodging traffic and is recuperating well after surgery to mend a broken leg. Just about a year or two old, this wonderful pup is vision and hearing impaired. He can see and hear a bit and navigates the world well. He loves to go out and run around the backyard, but inside he’s quite happy to nap around his people. He has a great time playing with his canine foster sister and enjoys checking out the neighborhood on short walks. He’ll play with toys sometimes, but really is happiest just being near his foster family.  Devante is good in the car, is working on house training and leash walking, and does well in the crate when he’s alone. At night, he prefers sleeping in his dog bed around his people. He would love a home where people are around most of the time. He’d prefer a fenced-in yard for safe exploring. He’d love having another dog to play with, but he’d be fine being the only pup as long as he got loads of attention. This sweet and handsome lion is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1840777##
