Story
Jax is a 4 year old Australian Sheppard and gorgeous to boot.  He was an owner surrender being no fault of his own.  Jax is high energy and his owner did not think they could give Jax what he needed to become a better dog.       Jax does great with other dogs (presides in a house with 2 other dogs).  He does very well with the neighboring children and also lived with children in his previous home.     Jax has alot of energy.  He does great in the backyard with fetching and running around with my other foster dog.  He also thinks he is the Tug of War champ of the house and would bring the rope to you to try and prove it.      He is crate trained and potty trained (will tell me when he wants to go outside).  He is a smart dog that does need some more training  He does know simple commands like sit, paw, and lay.  But he does lose focus when a treat is involved.     Jax has been a great dog for me and will definitely be a great dog for his future owner.    If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Jax’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Hi future family! My name is Ridge. I'm a 1 year old mini Aussie, weighing in at a whopping 20 pounds. I currently live in a foster home with two small kids and other dogs. I love this whole "living inside" thing! In my ideal home, I'd have a fenced in yard, another dog who loves to play and some kiddos to cuddle. I'm still kind of a puppy, so I need some work on manners. I'm a very happy little guy and love snuggling my people.   My foster mom usually takes pit bulls, so she said I've been a whole new world! I love to bite my canine foster sister's legs while we play to herd her, and think tug, chase and bitey face are the best. I hope I have a dog friend in my forever home with similar interests. I'd love someone who enjoys walks! I'm crate trained and potty trained, plus my foster mom says I'm great for nail trims! As an added bonus, I'm totally comfortable in the car and jump right in. I've been around cats outside before and did fine, but who knows how id do inside!   Before coming to needy paws, I had a rough life. My sister and I were dumped in a very rural area and thankfully someone picked us up and brought us to safety. Unfortunately, my front leg was previously broken and healed incorrectly so it's a bit crooked. It doesn't slow me down at all though! I also have something called discospondylitis, which is an infection in my spine. My foster mom has me feeling WAY better but I'll still need to take my meds every 12 hours and go to check ups with our vet until I'm cleared. I'm 2 months into treatment, which can last up to 1 year! Luckily, Needy Paws will pay for that treatment until I'm all better. I just need someone to give me my medicine 2 times a day and take me to my appointments every few months. No biggie!   My foster mom would be happy to talk to you about my silly personality and medical needs. I hope to hear from you soon! If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Rosa – the Sweetest Soul with the Coolest Eyes in Texas! Rosa is a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a uniquely colored coat that makes her as beautiful outside as she is inside! She’s gentle, easygoing, and about as drama-free as they come. If dogs had a “Most Likely to Be Everyone’s Favorite” award, Rosa would win it paws down. This lovely girl gets along beautifully with just about everyone—people, dogs, kids, new situations—you name it. She’s calm, confident, and refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix. Think less “whirling devilish herding machine” and more “professional couch companion with occasional zoomies.” And let’s talk about those eyes! Rosa has one stunning blue eye and one soulful brown eye. According to urban legend, that means she can see things in heaven and on earth at the same time. Pretty cool superpower, right? Basically, she’s part dog, part magical guardian angel. Rosa also comes fully loaded with excellent house manners: • Crate trained ✔ • Housebroken with a dog door ✔ • Walks beautifully on leash ✔ • Polite, well-behaved house guest ✔ • Expert at giving soft, grateful looks ✔ She enjoys relaxed strolls, cozy naps, and being near her people. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into your life like she’s always been there. Now, cats are a hard no, sorry cat lovers, she’s not a fan (she believes they are tiny, suspicious aliens), so a feline-free home is a must. But with dogs and humans? She’s an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, go-with-the-flow companion who will make every day brighter just by existing in it, Rosa is ready to be your girl. Apply today and let this two-toned-eyed sweetheart see straight into your heart 💙🤎🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌾🐾 Meet Emma — Ranch-Raised & Ready for Her Next Assignment! 🐾🌾 2 Years Old • ~70 lbs • Australian Shepherd / Border Collie Mix Emma is a 70-pound bundle of loyalty, brains, and heart — with a résumé that includes “Professional Goat Wrangler” and “Cattle Operations Manager.” This gorgeous 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix grew up on a ranch helping round up goats and cattle like a seasoned pro. She understands responsibility. She understands teamwork. She understands that somebody has to keep things moving in the right direction — and she is more than happy to volunteer. Through no fault of her own, Emma was surrendered in a small town and sat patiently at the pound for months. Just waiting. Watching other dogs leave. Hoping her turn would come. And we made sure it did — because a girl this special and with this much heart deserves more than a kennel and a concrete floor. Emma is incredibly sweet and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s attentive, smart, and very tuned in to her people. She would absolutely thrive on a ranch or property where she can help with chores, check fences, or supervise livestock. But if your “ranch” is more backyard than back forty? That’s okay too. She’ll happily help you: • Corralling wind blown leaves • Patrol for suspicious squirrels • Keep an eye on the kids • Inspect groceries as they’re brought in Now, since Emma was primarily a working ranch dog, we can’t say for certain how much indoor living she’s had or whether she’s fully housebroken. But here’s the thing about Emma — she is incredibly smart. If she needs to learn house rules, it won’t take long at all. Herding dogs don’t just learn fast… they practically pre-install the software themselves. Give her a little guidance and she’ll have it figured out in no time. Emma would love: • A job or daily purpose • Regular exercise and mental stimulation • A home that appreciates a working-minded dog • A family who values loyalty and intelligence She’s not just looking for a couch (though she won’t turn one down after a long day). She’s looking for connection. Purpose. A person or family to devote herself to. Emma has the heart of a worker and the soul of a loyal companion. She’s ready to trade the uncertainty of the past few months for stability, routine, and a forever home where she’s cherished. If you’re looking for a smart, steady, ranch-ready best friend who will work hard, love deeply, and maybe gently herd you toward the kitchen at dinner time, Emma is ready to clock in for life. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this hardworking girl the future she’s been patiently waiting for 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Lariet — The Helping Hand with the Golden Heart 🐾🌾 3 years old • 40 lbs • Australian Shepherd Mix With a name like Lariet (another word for lasso), it’s only fitting that this boy is perfectly suited for being your right hand man — steady, dependable, and always ready to “rope in” whatever the day brings. At 3 years old and 40 pounds, Lariet is the kind of dog people hope for but rarely find. In fact, he’s probably one of the best dogs on the ranch right now — and that’s saying something. His personality is so much like an Australian Shepherd — loyal, level-headed, and deeply devoted to his person. He doesn’t bring chaos… he brings calm confidence. Lariet has become the trusted sidekick for daily ranch routines. He goes feeding with Tisha and Carolyn, happily loading up in the truck without hesitation. Sightseeing adventure? He’s ready. Feed run? He’s already waiting politely. He comes when called — every time — even off leash and from a distance. No hesitation. No drama. Just a solid, reliable “Yep, I’m on my way.” That kind of recall is pure gold. He comes with a respectful resume: • Walks beautifully off-leash • Returns immediately when called • Gets along great with other dogs • Has not bothered the horses • Loads up easily for rides • Minds exceptionally well • Is up to date on vet care Lariet isn’t mischievous. He isn’t pushy. He isn’t over-the-top. He’s steady. Smart. Respectful. What he truly wants is simple — to be with his person. He bonds deeply and thrives when he has someone to share life with, whether that’s chores around the property, weekend outings, or just being your quiet companion at the end of the day. He would make an incredible ranch dog, acreage companion, or active family dog who appreciates an intelligent, loyal partner. He enjoys having a purpose and being included, but he also settles nicely and carries himself with calm maturity. Lariet is that rare balance of capable working dog and devoted best friend. He’s confident without being demanding. Independent but deeply connected. Active yet level-headed. If you’re ready for a loyal, well-mannered, ranch-ready companion who will show up every single time you call — Lariet is ready to rope himself right into your heart. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this exceptional boy the forever home he truly deserves 💛🐾
