Story
Some dogs are easy. They love everybody and everything and have no quirks or issues. But doesn’t that make life kind of boring? Brayleigh is anything but boring. This girl was found as a stray roaming the streets of Texas. She had raging skin and ear infections and barely any fur. She’s also blind and deaf. But Bray is a strong and sassy survivor. With help from our vet care team, she had regular medicated baths and her beautiful coat started to grow in. Then she was a trooper and had dual luxating patella surgery. Through it all, Bray has remained true to herself. She’s very complex: She doesn’t like strangers and abhors men, but likes female humans and male dogs. Once she makes friends, she’s very sweet, affectionate, and playful … as long as you don’t try to brush out her mats or clip her nails. She’s gone through a lot in her 5-6 years and she knows what she doesn’t like! Bray loves to play, but is also content to lie down near her person. She isn’t terribly Velcro, but she does like to know where her human is. She likes to play with toys or just carry them around. We’re guessing she maybe didn’t have any her whole life, so now she will sometimes fall asleep with a toy in her mouth. It’s pretty adorable. Bray’s DNA test shows she’s a mix of Australian shepherd, Australian koolie, Australian cattle dog, and shar-pei. She’s a great size at just about 25 pounds. She’s good on a leash, great in a crate, and will potty outside if it’s dry or inside on a pad. She knows the touch command for “come” and is pretty convinced that’s all she needs to know right now. Brayleigh will need a very specific home with just a patient woman or women, preferably someone who has had experience working with “interesting” dogs. She’d probably prefer to be an only dog, but could live with a laid-back male canine sibling. Bray also needs a fenced-in yard for safety and would prefer someone home most of the time, although she is good on her own. She can be left uncrated and will use her potty pad and isn’t the least bit destructive. Brayleigh has allergies so she needs regular shampooing and brushing, daily medication, and weekly injections. Yes, she has many issues and can be difficult and stubborn. But don’t we all? It’s going to take a very special person to adopt this very special girl. But Brayleigh is so lovable, it’s worth the time it takes to get to know her. Plus she gives the biggest and best sloppiest kisses. ##915140##

Story
The tango is a dance that focuses on flair, love, and playful movement. We think our little Tango puppy was well-named. This Aussie mix is sweet, loving, and snuggly. But he’s also very playful and full of personality and can even be independent at times. He is a very busy, very nosy boy who always likes to know what’s going on. And he looks great while he’s doing it! Tango has so many favorite activities. He loves to explore, play tug of war, and sit on his person’s lap. Tango mostly loves other dogs and wants to run and wrestle with them but he needs some time to warm up to them. Tango is hearing and vision impaired, but it doesn't stop him from dancing through life. He is a smart boy and has already learned “sit” and is working on “come” and “stay.” He’s also doing great with house training and crate training. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and another dog buddy. And perhaps a dance floor. ##1475452##

Story
Want to play ball, Frisbee, or tug? Charlee’s more than up for the job. Lovely Charlee is playful and absolutely adores her people. She lives to catch a ball and tackle a good game of tug and is always busy having fun. This Australian shepherd mix is hearing impaired and knows hand signals for sit, come, and release and is so smart, she’ll quickly learn more. She’s house trained and crate training and does pretty well on a leash. Charlee is about 3 years old, which is a fantastic age. She’s through all the puppy shenanigans and is a great companion. Charlee’s main requirement is that you don’t share your affection with other dogs. She wants to be the canine center of her person’s universe, so no other dogs please. Charlee would prefer a home with a fenced-in yard and would be giddy if her family was around for much of the day. This gorgeous, sweet girl has so much affection to give; she’s just waiting for the perfect forever match. ##1370753##

Story
Titan is the cutest and sweetest little Australian shepherd puppy. He has an amazing personality and is so much fun to watch. Titan loves to be outside and is happy exploring on his own. He enjoys playing with toys, but he really likes to be around people. He’s willing to check out new things and go on fun adventures. Titan is hearing impaired and is blind in one eye. He can see hand signals, which is how he’ll happily communicate with his family. Titan is working on potty training and crate training. He’s great with dogs of all sizes and would enjoy having a dog friend. (But he’d also be totally happy being the only pup and getting all the attention for himself!) Titan needs a home with a physical, fenced yard where someone is around most of the day. Puppies just can’t be left alone for long periods of time. He’d love someone who has experience working with deaf dogs or who is very much willing to learn. He’s a sweet boy with the best disposition. Titan is being fostered in the St. Louis area. He is one of a litter of eight puppies and we will do our best to make the best possible match for each of the puppies. ##2017430##

Story
Beethoven is an awfully happy Australian shepherd puppy that loves being around his people and other dogs. He greets everyone with a sweet tail wag and really just enjoys life. He plays great by himself or with other dogs. He just goes with the flow. Beethoven has no sight in one eye, so he’s learning how to communicate with hand signals and touch commands. He already knows “sit” and “come” and is so smart he’ll quickly pick up whatever you want to teach him. Beethoven is working on leash training, crate training, and potty training. Beethoven requires a home with a physical, fenced yard and someone who is around much of the day. He’d love to have a fun and playful dog pal and lots of toys to play with. Beethoven is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2076528##

Story
Look at this sweet little pup. Myth is a mini Australian shepherd mix who is about 8 months old. Her very favorite thing to do in the whole wide world is to cuddle with her person. She’s pretty shy with people and pups at first, but then she warms up. She likes cats and will play with other dogs sometimes, particularly if it’s a game of chase. Myth is working on leash skills and is nearly completely potty trained. She is not in love with her crate but is slowly figuring out it’s a safe place. She just hates to be without her humans.  Myth can’t hear, so she is learning hand signals. She’s a smart pup and we know she will continue to learn quickly. She’s able to see, but is sensitive to bright sunlight outside. Myth needs a home where someone is around much of the day and can continue helping her build her confidence and independence. She’d love a home with a physical, fenced yard. But her biggest requirement is a person who will snuggle with her. She’s a super sweet pup who is very Velcro. She gets little spurts of energy and likes to play, then returns to her people for some cuddling. Myth is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2121627##

Story
My partner and I adopted Comet from a women on Facebook. She had too many animals and needed to rehome some. We have had Comet since late 2020. Comet is about 5 1/2 years old, but still acts like a puppy! We moved an apartment where we are unable to provide what he truly needs. With my partner and I moving up in our careers, we just don’t have the quality time he deserves. We have gone back and forth on this for months and it truly breaks our hearts to even do this. We would like for him to be in a home with a fenced in yard. Someone who is quite active outside as it’s his favorite place to be, especially in the snow! Comet is by far the most loyal, affectionate, and smartest dog I have had. He has good recall off leash in the country and will follow you until the end of time.

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Dakota - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi ya everyone!! Let me introduce myself, I'm Dakota. I am just the cutest lil girl and I'm here looking for a family, a home...one that I can say will be ALL mine! I'm just a lil munchkin (for now) at almost 3 months and should be a nice medium size of around 35-40lbs when I get myself all the way growed up. I'm sweet, active, playful and just ready to explore...everywhere. I'm at that spongey stage in life where I'm soaking up everything! I'm a very social girl that loves people both tall and small but I do have those sharp lil nails and teeth yet. I love playing with my siblings and the other resident pups here at my foster home. I haven't had a chance yet to meet any of those creatures y'all call a cat but at my tender age, I'm sure I'd be just fine with them too. I've got a super sweet nature that is loving, playful and snuggly (if you can get me to hold still) that would love to be your lil blob of clay to be molded into the bestest family addition...could it possibly be with YOUR family?!! You can fill out my adoption application found at haydudeequine.org

Sophie is a sweet girl looking for a new forever home. She is a little shy at first but has tons of energy and needs someone that can give her lots of walks and play time enless games of fetch. She is good with kids and other dogs but does seem to shy away when around other dogs and we are unsure how she would be with cats. She does not seem to enjoy car rides. She is crate trained and knows a few basic commands but not many. She is a smart girl and I'm sure she could know more with some patience and training.
