Story
Meet Toddy, a charming 3-year-old pup with a heart full of love. Toddy may not have had the easiest start, but he's a quick learner who's mastered many commands in Spanish. At 86 lbs, he's a big bundle of cuddles and, yes, he's even muzzle trained. Toddy's past life taught him to be wary of strangers, and he can be a bit reactive initially, but don't let that deter you. Once he gets to know you, he's a loyal and affectionate companion. Toddy is looking for a patient and understanding family who will take the time to introduce him to new friends slowly and with care. He's sure to steal your heart with his sweet nature, and he's ready to find his forever home with folks who are ready to cherish and protect him. If you're willing to invest the time and love, Toddy will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and devotion. Come meet Toddy today and see the magic he can bring into your life!

Story
Asher needs a home with at least 2 balanced energy dogs, that are calm but playful, to keep him self-assured. Asher is not a difficult dog but needs a home that will help him become the best dog he can be. Too many dogs distract and confuse him, but not enough makes him panic and become unsure of himself. During the first 7 months of his life, Asher was living in an environment that lacked any type of nurturing, routine, guidance, balance, or discipline. Everything is a must for him to learn and maintain balance. I prayed for help, and sure enough, God provided Asher with the perfect foster home. His Foster is a horse handler, experienced with his breed, that has a balanced pack Asher can learn from. Asher is exceeding all expectations. He is learning in leaps and bounds from the pack. Although Asher will be a year old in a few months, he needs a mature calm pack to lead him. He still has so much to learn, but will get there. More to come as we will enjoy getting his basic obedience up to par. Updated: 2/15/2023 We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets. Story
Meet Shaggy!! Shaggy is believed to be an 8-month-old double Merle Aussie poodle blend. He is wired fur and does shed. Shaggy was also born mostly blind and deaf but this does not hold him back at all. I don't believe he knows he's different. He adjusts just fine to any surroundings. Shaggy is dog cat and all small critter friendly from a flock of birds to indoor pet rabbits and has done well with them all. Shaggy loves human attention and interacts well with all he meets. He is an active playful outgoing happy-go, lucky social boy. He is at 31 pounds and fully grown. Shaggy would do best with another playful active dog in the home who will give him Qs guidance and correction. He needs this to thrive. He does best in a home where someone is home mostly, active, and enjoys the outdoors but also loves to stay in and snuggle with plenty of cuddles offered. Nothing wrong with binge-watching Netflix on those gloomy days. Patience is key with Shaggy as he is still very much a puppy and doesn't understand his limitations. Shaggy has been around and interacted/met over 200 dogs, and lives with cats, rabbits, and a large flock of chickens and ducks. Shaggy is house and crate trained. He learned within a day to use the bells at the door to let us know he needs to potty. Shaggy does great on car rides, walks awesomely on a leash, and works hard not to jump on humans. Shaggy does not see himself as a special need and nor should we. He is just a regular happy doggo. He needs a 6ft fence as he has managed to jump a 4ft fence lol. He is a puppy learning boundaries and manners and doing so well too. He is sweet outgoing and a burst of happiness on a daily. He's a great cuddled momma or daddy boy. He is adventurous so common sense on your part needs practice. Shaggy is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter. Please do not ask us to pay for this. Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed. Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must. Adoption process information can be found on our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org Name your price adoption with a minimum required fee. The adoption fees vary. $475 unless there is a promo fee/sponsored announcement.

Story
Suki is a sweet girl who works hard for your love and attention. She can get anxious at times, fireworks, storms and car rides are not her favorite things. She and her brother do everything together. She does have a high prey drive and has caught a few squirrels. Both dogs would require a fenced in yard. She like nothing more than to Netflix & chill with you, enjoy cuddles and snacks. She has endless love to give! 💕
