Story
Shadow is a young Australian Shepherd with the kind of energy that makes life feel a little more exciting the moment he enters the room. He is playful, friendly, and always ready to be involved in whatever is happening around him. Visitors? Amazing. Kids? Fantastic. Stuffed toys? Absolute treasures. This goofy teenager of a dog sounds like the type who approaches life at full speed and with complete enthusiasm, including enthusiastically greeting people with his whole body. Like many young herding breeds, Shadow will thrive in a home that can give him structure, activity, and plenty of opportunities to use both his brain and his energy. He enjoys baths and grooming, is reportedly housebroken, and would likely love having an active family to keep up with. At only around six months old, Shadow is still very much a puppy learning the ropes of the world, and with consistency and guidance, he has all the ingredients to grow into an incredible companion. For someone looking for an adventurous sidekick with personality for days, Shadow may be exactly the dog they have been waiting for. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care. Story
Baron is a gentle giant and a truly gorgeous Australian Shepherd. He weighs about 42 pounds, is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the right forever home. Baron enjoys the simple things in life. He loves playing in water, spending time with other dogs, and chewing on his toys. He is both house trained and kennel trained, and he walks well on a leash. Baron is a chewer, so he will need plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep him occupied and away from furniture or walls. Baron gets along very well with other dogs and really enjoys their company. While he loves playing with canine friends, he is not the outgoing, overly affectionate type with people. If you are looking for a super bubbly, “happy-go-lucky” dog who instantly loves everyone, Baron may not be the best match. He is more of an introvert who takes time to feel comfortable. Once Baron gets to know you and spends time with you, he will form a strong bond. He is a loyal companion for someone who understands his personality and is willing to go at his pace. Baron can be a little wary of men, though he does not show any aggression. He simply needs patience and time to build trust, and it may take him a bit longer to bond with men than with women. Baron would do best with a patient family who understands that adjustment takes time. When he leaves his foster home, he can become a little sad or withdrawn at first, but with kindness, consistency, and patience, he will settle in and learn that his new home is a safe place. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give Baron the time and space he needs to blossom, he will reward you with a lifelong bond. 🐾 Baron is being fostered in LA FERIA, TX. His adoption fee of $350 will cover his transport cost in TX. Story
We’ve had Wickett for the last 6 years. He has traveled many states with us and hiked many trails and has ran freely as a farm dog in between. We believe now at this stage of his life he would do best with an experienced family with no kids or kids that are older and can respect his space. Our son is in his toddler years and there is a lot of sporadic movements and food that puts him in difficult situations. He is friendly around our son and enjoys his pets when they are supervised. He is muzzle trained. Very sweet and loving dog. Wants to be with/near his people. Is very smart and food driven. Loves to chase squirrels/small animals and can jump 4ft fence. Meets new people best when he is outside in open space. Let him approach in his own time. Very protective of his space and area. He knows sit, stay, down, paw, touch. He has a dog brother for past 6 years and takes time being introduced to other dogs and animals.
