Story
Ivy is a sweet 5 year old Corgi/ Australian Shepard mix. We are in desperate need of a home for her. I am moving in with my mother who has a cat and I cannot take her with me. I took her from a home of an alcoholic that could no longer care for her. Ivy is overweight and on thyroid medication. She is a loving dog that just wants to be petted. She needs good veterinary care with lab draws for her thyroid . Ivy is good with other dogs. I dont think I would trust her with small children. If you are looking for a sweet , fun affectionate dog, Ivy is your girl.

Bentley is a 3 year old Australian Shepard. He loves going on walks, and snuggling together on the couch. He is as fluffy as he is energetic. He would be happiest in a home that is active and that has some outdoor space! Other useful info: Bentley is crate-trained, and is currently leash-training. Has lived with both cats and other dogs, however may need a little re-socialization to get re-accustomed. He also knows some basic commands by heart, like “wait,” “sit,” and “down.” Additionally, Bentley has toys, food, and other goodies he hopes to take with him to his new home!

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Georgetown, IN Meet Willow! She is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix (other breed is unknown) and weighs between 40-50 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Willow is fearful of strangers. He hasn’t been tested around older children. No cats, dogs, or older children, due to her reactivity! She has high anxiety and only trusts women. Willow attacked a beagle. The owner is surrendering her because they are no longer able to take care of her. If you think you can provide a great home for Willow, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Willow. Story
Tilda is a great dog, full of joy and energy. We are a senior couple who were told she would be 12-15 pounds by the ‘breeder’ but she will be a medium sized dog around 30#s If we were younger and more energetic we would keep her. Frisbee is the daily game we play. She is still working on releasing it when she comes back. She is very smart. She learned to sit in 1 day (with the use of tasty dog biscuits). She is house broken 100%. She is crate trained but we no longer use it. Tilda barks when she has reason to but it may be days before she says anything, We have given her the very best care by a local vet, Her spay surgery, chip, all vaccines. We will include the 6months of heart worm and flea meds. She is 6 months old now. This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone adopting her. We did the hard work of puppy training, teething, and the paid for the all of the early expenses, I calculated about $1,400 all told. She is very clean and does not require any grooming other than nails.

Story
Meet Shaggy!! Shaggy is believed to be an 8-month-old double Merle Aussie poodle blend. He is wired fur and does shed. Shaggy was also born mostly blind and deaf but this does not hold him back at all. I don't believe he knows he's different. He adjusts just fine to any surroundings. Shaggy is dog cat and all small critter friendly from a flock of birds to indoor pet rabbits and has done well with them all. Shaggy loves human attention and interacts well with all he meets. He is an active playful outgoing happy-go, lucky social boy. He is at 31 pounds and fully grown. Shaggy would do best with another playful active dog in the home who will give him Qs guidance and correction. He needs this to thrive. He does best in a home where someone is home mostly, active, and enjoys the outdoors but also loves to stay in and snuggle with plenty of cuddles offered. Nothing wrong with binge-watching Netflix on those gloomy days. Patience is key with Shaggy as he is still very much a puppy and doesn't understand his limitations. Shaggy has been around and interacted/met over 200 dogs, and lives with cats, rabbits, and a large flock of chickens and ducks. Shaggy is house and crate trained. He learned within a day to use the bells at the door to let us know he needs to potty. Shaggy does great on car rides, walks awesomely on a leash, and works hard not to jump on humans. Shaggy does not see himself as a special need and nor should we. He is just a regular happy doggo. He needs a 6ft fence as he has managed to jump a 4ft fence lol. He is a puppy learning boundaries and manners and doing so well too. He is sweet outgoing and a burst of happiness on a daily. He's a great cuddled momma or daddy boy. He is adventurous so common sense on your part needs practice. Shaggy is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter. Please do not ask us to pay for this. Story
We’ve had Max since he was a puppy. He’s the sweetest dog; loves snuggles, belly rub & playing fetch. It breaks our hearts to rehome him but he & our other dog just do not get along anymore. For their safety & quality of life we are looking to place Max in a home where he will be the only dog & has lots of attention. Max is house trained, never been aggressive toward people or even other animals; it’s more of a territorial thing with our other dog. He does fine being home alone; he’s home for 5-8 hours 4-5 days a week. He’s up to date on all shots & we will send him with his bed, toys & food. This is extremely difficult for us so we ask that only serious inquiries reach out.

Story
Bird found us about 9 months ago. We have determined he is an Australian Kelpie, might have a little bit of something else, but looks, acts, and has brains of a kelpie. He is a working dog, needs someone to give him a job. He tries to herd the cats in a line, loves to be chased, and he is very strong. Bird is also very protective of the house, no strangers are getting in. He is also very loving. He has been bred to be a working dog, and I feel so bad for him. Our lifestyle really doesn’t work for him. We both work a lot. He needs to be able to get more exercise, and it is about to get worse. We are relocating this summer and I look to have just a lot and a smaller place. When we couldn’t find his owners and a place to take him when he first came to us, we decided to give it a try, but quickly remembered why we never had a dog before. We are definitely not responsible dog owners.
