Meet Jack (aka Captain Jack). Jack's family was struck by tragedy when one of his two owners passed away suddenly and his remaining disabled owner has to go into housing that won't allow Jack. He is in desperate need of a home by OCTOBER 10TH. Jack is extremely smart, 101% housebroken, and knows basic commands. He walks very well on leash and loves car rides. He is very food-motivated, a total lovebug, and a complete couch potato who loves to be with his people 24/7. He also loves to give goofy grins, like all Aussies, and when he's getting cheek rubs, he'll even "purr"! He was a previous rescue from terrible conditions, so he does have some issues: - Resource-guarding of his dog bed and treats/food. - In his past, Jack was on a farm with many other dogs who bullied him. Therefore, he will growl and show teeth if other dogs get too close. Jack will do best with a gentle, understanding family. All he wants in life is food, a warm bed, and a person to give him love and attention.

She has not been around cats, so we are not able to know if she is good with them. She is house broken, leash trained and knows basic commands. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and has been to the vet recently for her check up. She is hoping to find a home sooner then later. Cocoa Puffs is a 4 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd. She’s a pandemic puppy and is not socialized around cats, dogs and children. She is a little bit of “Nervous Nelly” when she’s around new people or unfamiliar environment. Cocoa Puffs has resource guarding issues. If she thinks you are trying to take something away from her, she will try to bite you. This does not happen on a daily basis, but it can be unpredictable. The best method while dealing with resource guarding is to give Cocoa Puffs something more of a high value treat to trade off whatever item she thinks she needs to guard. This has worked with me. More details will be provided upon contact. Cocoa Puffs is very smart. She knows the name of all her toys. She is good at doing tricks, like sit pretty, roll over, crawl, spin right/left, go through legs, etc. Of course more training can be done :) no shame in that Cocoa Puffs loves to cuddle on her own terms. She bites onBarkBox bones and eats Farmer’s Dog diet
