Sadie | Australian Shepherd-Lab mix 12-14 years | Spayed | 55 lbs, Housebroken Sadie ended up in a NYC shelter when her owner passed away. She was brought in with two cats. She is people, dog and cat friendly and is up to date with her vaccines, housebroken, HW- and spayed. She is currently on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Sadie has some hair loss and health issues that are being addressed. She is very smart, quiet and has good indoor manners. Fostered in Central NJ. Please fill out an application to meet Sadie. Say hello to Theo, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with the softest ears and at the sweetest personality. Theo is happiest when hes getting lots of attention, lots of activity, and lots of treats. Theo is afraid of other dogs he doesn't know, so he would thrive in a quieter, rural or suburban home with a fenced yard and few canine neighbors, where he can relax, explore, and not run into dogs around every corner. He has gotten along well with other resident dogs--he just needs a slow, careful introduction period. Hes a classic herding dog wants to be by your side and wants to join you in the garden in the summer and in the garage in the winter. He would do well with an experienced dog owner, and even better with someone who has experience with and love for herding dogs. He is good with all humans, whether friends or strangers, but he is shy at first. Once hes comfortable, Theos true personality shines: *Eager to pleaseand loves to learn*Loves a good stuffed boneor an antlerand isnt a counter surfer*Housebrokenand doesnt see the point of a crate *Enjoys hikesand keeping the yard free of chipmunks*Favorite phrase:Lets go! Theo is currently in Jersey City, NJ, but city life isnt his thing, as close encounters with other dogs make him anxious. When he feels overwhelmed, he will bark or lunge, so in the city he wears a basket muzzle on walks as a precaution to prevent an inadvertent bite from his reactivity or redirection. He has lived with another dog before and might do well with the right match, but hed be perfectly happy as an only pet in a consistent home where he can just be himself. Theo has not been cat tested. This is Tess. She is a 3 year old aussie mix and is being returned due to divorce. She is very sweet with other humans, but is not the best with other dogs or kids. She has not been around cats, so we are not able to know if she is good with them. She is house broken, leash trained and knows basic commands. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and has been to the vet recently for her check up. She is hoping to find a home sooner then later. Meet Brooke! She is an absolutely gorgeous smaller standard Aussie (about 40-45 lbs)! She is a little timid at first but warms up quickly. She has not been around children or cats so it will be best for her to go to a home without either. She is around other dogs in her foster home but does take time to warm up. She will be happiest and best off as an only dog. She was used for breeding and really needs a home to just give her all the love and let her be the center of attention. She loves to run and play and is a happy, sweet girl!! She will be 6 years old in July. Brooke is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any adopter must come to Huntsville to meet her. She will not be transported on public transport.

Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them.
