Lexie is a 7 year old Austalian Shepherd mix. Full of energy, this incredibly sweet girl is looking for a life partner to explore with. she loves couch time with her favourite people. trying to read a book? well, be prepared to have a dog flipping every page for you, as she knows no personal space! Lexie would do best as an only dog and with kids 13+ years of age. she maybe super playful and full of energy, but she does enjoy her alone time.

Story
This is Cereal. He was born January 2023. He is so handsome. Very sweet boy. Loves kids, everyone really. Everyone loves him. He does get along with other dogs. He's potty trained, uses a doggy door. Loves car rides. There are somethings that he needs to work on. If he gets loose, he runs off. He's a counter surfer. He really is just too much for me in my small space. It doesn't seem fair. When I did buy him he was estimated to be no more than 20ibs. He's 50 . He really is a sweet boy. Please give him a great home.

Remington is approximately 7.5 years old and LOVES kids. He has not adapted well to our new home and needs a new environment. He’s smart, and FULL of energy. He definitely needs a place where he can be active and serve a purpose. We love him soooo much, but realize he needs a better opportunity to live life to the fullest.

Story
Merida is a 3 year old 44% Australian Shepherd Mix, farm raised. She was rescued from an Amish family in PA that had too many dogs, at 10 weeks old. She was raised on two acres in farm country and roamed free frequently, mostly staying in the yard with an E collar on. She is very friendly and likes to greet people by putting her paws on them, but she can be trained not to do this, as I have trained her not to do it to me. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She loves to run, jump, play fetch, and swim. She is very active and would thrive on a farm with or without livestock, and room to roam. She is partially leashed trained, and needs some work in that area. She is totally house trained and crate trained. All of her gear will go with her, crate, e-collar, and toys. I have to sell my house due to divorce and will be moving to a rental situation. There are many more living options without a pet. I am also finding it difficult to pay for her food and vet care now.

Story
Truly is 1.5 years old! She is a great companion and very loyal! She is very smart and easily trained. She is very energetic and needs excess space to run and exercise. She gets along with most male dogs and with proper introductions, she is good with female dogs. She has not been exposed to kids so I cannot speak on her compatibility with them. She tends to fear grown men at first but with a little time, she will grow to love them. Truly is one of the best pets you’ll ever find and deserves the most loving but also patient home as she comes with more energy than most dogs.

Story
Wagga Wagga, named for a city in Australia is a sweet Australian Shepherd puppy. The Pups were born January 1, 2024. They are sweet, smart, have all their first shots (distemper/parvo/lepto, Bordetella, one year rabies) been microchipped, and are on heartworm/flea meds and are wormed. Wagga is the most unusual of the group. His left eye has a beautiful blue circle surrounding it. To adopt this beautiful puppy, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org and we will see if it is a good fit for you and the pup. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org .We are requiring a fenced yard for these puppies. Thinking about a new puppy….. things to keep in mind: Puppy will need time, training, love and connection, mixed in with a load of attention. Best if children are school age or older; we will consider younger children only on exception basis. Puppies have small bladders and need to have someone to let them out regularly for potty breaks…..work from home, work part-time, come home at lunch…..need a plan as they will need you every 4 to 5 hours until they are at least 6 to 8 months old. Will your current pet be willing to accept a new puppy. Puppies can be a handful. Will you be traveling extensively for the next couple of months? Puppy proofing your home is like baby proofing you home; it requires effort. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks, but holding on a little longer and letting them go around 12 weeks can be really beneficial, as their development and socializing will be a lot more established by that point. Those few extra weeks can make a big difference in how they act in their new home….. more social, less nippy. The adoption fee is $400. May 19, 2024, 7:55 pm
