Lexie is a 7 year old Austalian Shepherd mix. Full of energy, this incredibly sweet girl is looking for a life partner to explore with. she loves couch time with her favourite people. trying to read a book? well, be prepared to have a dog flipping every page for you, as she knows no personal space! Lexie would do best as an only dog and with kids 13+ years of age. she maybe super playful and full of energy, but she does enjoy her alone time.

Story
Hi this is my dog Romi. He is currently 4 years old. We are super sad to have to rehome him. We are looking for a good fit for him and a place he can thrive. He has anxiety & can be aggressive. We are looking for someone who can help train him and let him be the best he can be. He is very active as well. He loves walks. He is only aggressive in the home around new people. In other environments, he is just anxious. He is super sweet and loyal.

Story
Female 4+ months old 24 poundsWe took in four Australian Shepherd puppies from an "accidental litter" We were told they were born mid March. (but seem slightly older)2 males Alfie & Asa "Ace-uh", and 2 females Arla and Abily. They are new to us and we are just getting them started on life skills. Doing great in the crate, ride quietly in the car (crated), used to the leash now, and working on housebreaking and socializing to the outside world. Abily is shy at first but really likes people and attention. This animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spay appointment already scheduled for July 25th. They have also been given flea & heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350.00. Story
Please contact melissa (melissa@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Banjo! This young guy is 3 years old and weighs 25 pounds. Banjo enjoys spending time outside and going for walks. He also enjoys his dog friends, but isn't really interesting in playing.  Banjo does get a little spooked by dogs barking at him assertively. He would do best in a home environment that does not have dogs that bark frequently. Banjo is crate trained. Banjo has not met kids or cats.  Based on his uncertainty with dog barking, we believe he would do best in a home with older children or no children. His adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and neuter. The first step in the adoption process is to  fill out an adoption application today at our website   www.pawsandprayers.org . Banjo's adoption fee is $250.    ***The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website www.pawsandprayers.org. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database. Story
Perth, named for a city in Australia is a sweet Australian Shepherd puppy. The Pups were born January 1, 2024. They are sweet, smart, have all their first shots (distemper/parvo/lepto, Bordetella, one year rabies) been microchipped, and are on heartworm/flea meds and are wormed. Perth has the cutest freckled legs.  To adopt this beautiful puppy, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org and we will see if it is a good fit for you and the pup. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org .We are requiring a fenced yard for these puppies. Australian Shepherds are herding dogs so probably would not be good for childen under 6.  Thinking about a new puppy….. things to keep in mind: Puppy will need time, training, love and connection, mixed in with a load of attention. Best if children are school age or older; we will consider younger children only on exception basis. Puppies have small bladders and need to have someone to let them out regularly for potty breaks…..work from home, work part-time, come home at lunch…..need a plan as they will need you every 4 to 5 hours until they are at least 6 to 8 months old. Will your current pet be willing to accept a new puppy. Puppies can be a handful. Will you be traveling extensively for the next couple of months? Puppy proofing your home is like baby proofing you home; it requires effort. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks, but holding on a little longer and letting them go around 12 weeks can be really beneficial, as their development and socializing will be a lot more established by that point. Those few extra weeks can make a big difference in how they act in their new home….. more social, less nippy. The adoption fee is $400. July 25, 2024, 9:53 pm
