Story
Finn is an approximately 16 month old 45 pound male Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who is looking for an active adventurous home! This boy is handsome, clever, and quite a canine athlete! Finn came to Angels as an owner turn in with his sister Posey. He has had a pretty transient life, and is ready for some stability and structure. While he is definitely in need of some basic training, this is a very smart boy who is ready and willing to learn. He is very treat motivated, meaning he will absolutely work for food. We are told that he has been crated in the past, and has a decent grasp of house training. This does not mean he won’t have accidents! This boy has been through a lot of changes, so he absolutely needs someone who will have patience with him. He hasn’t had a ton of leash training, but he is getting better and better, and we continue to work on it! We do not know how Finn is with kids, but he would probably do best with slightly older ones - 8 and over. This is simply because this bouncy boy can sometimes forget how high he bounced! He has lived with other dogs, male and female, and was reported to have done well with them. As always, a meet and greet with any resident canines would be required. He has not been around cats, but should do okay with some guidance and dog savvy cats. Finn’s possibilities are endless. He is brilliant, highly trainable, very athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Finn is DEFINITELY NOT a couch potato. He needs exercise and activity. He needs for someone to care enough to cater to his mind, body, and soul. He would do best with a fence, but we will consider homes with and without, factoring in the individual situations. This dog could absolutely participate in things like agility, flyball, obedience etc. Even just for fun instead of for titles. Frankly, he won’t know the difference - all he will know is that he’s having a fabulous time with his new very fabulous human!

Story
Posey is a gorgeous 16 month old female Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who weighs in at approximately 37 pounds. She is a gorgeous brilliant young girl who needs an active home to call her own. Posey came to Angels as an owner surrender with her brother Finn after spending most of her first year in a sort of transient lifestyle. She’s ready for stability and structure and to be a part of a real family! We were told that Posey has been crated before and did fine with it, and that she is primarily house trained, but she needs someone with patience and flexibility to let her relearn some of the basics that she might have forgotten or be confused about. This is a very smart trainable girlie who will work for food and always try her best for you. Posey has lived with various other dogs in her short life, including her brother, and did well. As always, a meet and greet with any resident dogs will be a must. We have no idea how she may be with cats, but believe with some training and direction, she could do fine and may not try to herd them…too much anyway. Though she be small, our Posey is a bouncy girl, kids over 8 are probably best. This dog is a clever active young dog. She is 100% NOT a couch potato. She needs to be engaged and have her mind and body exercised. She would do best with a fenced in yard, but this will be looked at on a case by case basis. She would likely excel playing at some doggy sports like agility, Flyball, or obedience. She’s just that smart and willing.

Story
PEDICO FEMALE 24 LBS 1 1/2 YRS Pedico made her way to rescue after her owner passed away. We do not have any background on her - age and breed are estimates. She loves to play with her foster dog siblings and is interested the house cats but not aggressive. Crate trained - working on establishing a routine/housebreaking, and doing very well. She is very nervous when meeting new people, and isn't a fan of being picked up.(cries out when picked up) Sweet, affectionatr, fun little girl once she gets comfortable with you. Rides quietly in the car (crated) She does have a nervous habit of pacing/spinning in circles- in living room or if in a larg crate* is good and settles in size appropriate crate. This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention.  The adoption fee is $275.00 If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application. http://www.ajssearchandrescue.org/adoption-application  March 14, 2026, 10:17 pm

Story
This handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd is the total package — smart, loyal, and full of love! Max knows basic commands, is fully housebroken, and enjoys toys, bones, and relaxing in his crate, though he prefers to be by your side. He walks well on a leash but may pull or react when he sees other dogs. He’s played nicely with dogs before, but slow introductions work best. Max loves being with his person, whether he’s fetching a ball, getting belly rubs, or resting his head in your lap. Like most Aussies, he’s alert, aware of his surroundings, and may try to herd small children or animals. He’ll thrive in a home familiar with herding breeds and able to guide his energy in a positive way. Max needs a yard to run in or someone who is reasonably active to help him stay happy and balanced through walks, play, and mental stimulation. Adoption is $300 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.All animals are up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and fixed. To meet one of our animals we require an approved application. You can fill one out at https://tobyscrittercoverescue.org/adoptionapp/ March 7, 2026, 4:14 pm

Story
This little lady is Olivia, the O in the O Jays. She was born December 15, 2025 and is a true sweetheart. Guessing full growth will be around 50 pounds, mom is a little whippet but dad is a 55 to 65 pound aussie shepherd. All pups have great temperaments.  The are not aggressive and love to get their bellies rubbed.  The O Jays were a great Rhythm and Blues group from Canton Ohio. This litter is the O Jay litter with one girl and five boys, 1/2 whippet and 1/2 Australian Shepherd born December 15, 2025.. The girl is Olivia for the "O" and the boys are Jacob, Jason, Joshua, Joseph and Justin for the "Jays". There was a Message in our Music to follow the Love Train since it was Time to Get Down and consider adopting a pup so you can Sing a Happy Song!  One of these pups would be a perfect companion and give you lots of love and have you Livin for the Weekend! They are very social. They are altered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go to their new homes.  Adoption fee is $375 and any questions can be directed to marty@pawsandprayers.org. April 16, 2026, 10:11 pm
