Story
August (Auggie) is almost 2 years old. He is energetic, loves to go on walks, and will follow you all over. I need to put him up for adoption because I’m a college student who doesn't have the funds or abilities to care for him properly, as much as that hurts to say. When he was younger, Auggie received a bad response from a family member of mine, and ever since then, Auggie hasn't trusted new people in the home the most. He is fine with new people, but he is a bit of a scaredy cat. He needs a home where he can love 1-2 people, who know how to show him love. He loves treats and is insanely smart. He loves flipping over for belly rubs, too. He doesn't trust kids very much, so please think carefully if you have kids or kids visiting often. He LOVES cats, and is pretty okay with other dogs. I wish I could keep him, because he is really a sweet boy if he trusts you. Thanks for checking out my boy, Auggie.

Story
Hello everyone! Meet Jack! Jack is a 5 year old Minature Australian Shepherd who will be turning 6 on December 25th. He is black, white, and tan, and weighs around 50 lbs. He came into our lives through Project Puppy Love in Sugarcreek Ohio. Jack is smart, energetic, and an incredibly playful boy who loves to have a job and stay busy. His favorite thing in the world is playing frisbee, and he knows some pretty fun tricks! We trained him as a puppy and while Jack is smart, he can also be stubborn and sometimes likes to decide whether he wants to listen or not. He needs the right environment and an experienced person who understands his breed and behavioral needs. He has territorial behaviors and has a bite history, with all incidents occurring with people inside the home. Because of this, we are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and confident with dogs who have behavioral challenges and who can provide the structure, boundaries, training, and patience Jack needs.

Meet Grits 🐾 This Aussie mix is pure fluff and sweetness wrapped into one irresistible puppy. Grits loves all the typical puppy things—tumbling around with his siblings, exploring his world, and then curling up for a cozy snuggle when playtime is over. Grits is a double merle, and we suspect he is both deaf and blind. But don’t let that define him—he navigates life with confidence, curiosity, and a whole lot of heart. Like any puppy, he learns, bonds, and thrives through touch, routine, and trust. He’s looking for a special forever home through Brave Breed Rescue—someone patient, committed, and ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re ready to open your heart to this incredible boy, apply at bravebreed.org 🐶🤍

Story
Meet Sting 🖤Sting is a 4–5 year old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 64 pounds who is quietly learning that life can be kind. He came to us from a hoarding situation, and while he has already made wonderful progress, the world is still a new and sometimes overwhelming place for him. Sting is a shy, timid boy with an incredibly sweet nature. Everyone who meets him says the same thing — this dog doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He simply needs a little time and patience to feel safe and understand what it means to be part of a family.Because of his background, Sting is still figuring out how to “be a dog.” One thing we've already learned about him, though — he absolutely loves the ladies! He takes comfort in gentle voices and calm companionship. We believe Sting would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and give him reassurance as he continues to blossom.Recently, one of our volunteers experienced a breakthrough with Sting. Instead of taking a treat and retreating to a safe spot as he often does, Sting chose to stay nearby. He ate his treat right in front of her, then gently licked her hand before walking away. It may seem like a small moment, but for Sting, it was a huge step—and a glimpse of the loving dog waiting beneath his cautious exterior. The best part about dogs like Sting is what happens once they learn to trust. When you earn his heart, you'll gain a deeply loyal companion who will quietly adore his person. The journey may take a little longer, but dogs like Sting have a way of making every milestone feel special.Sting is already crate trained and potty trained, and he's ready to continue his journey in a patient home that understands that the most special dogs sometimes just need a little extra time. A confident dog in the home is a must for Sting's success. He is currently available for foster or foster-to-adopt, giving someone the chance to help this sweet boy continue discovering how good life can be. Apply at www.caninecollective.org.
