Story
When we tell the story of  Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in.  Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent  who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound  Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady. Mika is the definition of a sweetheart. She has a gentle, low-key temperament that makes her a perfect fit for a family looking for a more relaxed companion. She is fantastic with kids and simply wants to be where the love is. While she hasn't quite figured out what to do with toys yet, she is incredibly food-motivated, which has made her recent leash training a breeze! Mika is a polite listener who comes when called and is eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to a home that values cuddles and a steady presence. She is ready to trade her rescue status for a lifetime of treats and affection. Best Skills: Calm demeanor, highly food-motivated (easy to train!), great listener, and kid-friendly. Ideal Home: A loving family that enjoys a peaceful pace and plenty of bonding time. Mika is ready for a new and fresh reset to her life.  She is ready to leave the hard past behind and only look ahead.  She is in Nashville, TN but can be transported to the northeastern states that the transport van visits and stops in.   Critter Cavalry Rescue would love to hear from you at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We stand behind this girl being one of the best dogs you could ever call your very own.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Nola is one of those strikingly beautiful dogs that creates an emotion of wanting to hug her, pet her and to get to know her.  She makes it easy for all humans to approach her and become friends.  This 2 year old Aussie Mix girl weights 77 pounds and she is a girl who makes herself right at home when she knows she is invited to stay.  She was found as a stray in a small town in rural Tennessee and no history is known of her past.  As she stayed at the small shelter for a month (summers are brutal in this small town with few adopting visitors) she exhibited no tension from all the drama and barking that surrounded her from other dogs.  Shelters are stressful but Nola stayed calm as a summer cucumber!  She is a girl that needs some polishing.  She is pretty much housebroken but need to know the lay of a home and the schedule that she will need to go out for potty breaks.  She is easy to enjoy and have around. Pretty good on a leash too!.  Crate training is a bit of a mystery at this point.  We do not think that a home where she is crated for 9 hours daily would be advisable.  A fenced yard is of great benefit to her a dog like her.  The breed needs exercise and is not an apartment couch potato for long hours.   Walks and backyard hangout time is of great advantage for her.  Nola is a healthy girl with so much to give and of course she is ready to take as much love as a family can give.   If you are interested in this beauty please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We can and will respond quickly.  She can be transported from Nashville, TN where she is staying, up to the northeastern states or just be adopted locally.  If you think you have the right place in life for this girl please email quickly or text 615-661-5333   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Marley Girl is a happy, outgoing  8 year old Aussie Doodle with a heart full of love and lots of years and life left to share. This young senior girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own because her natural herding instincts have taken over and she is chasing the chickens at her former home.  Apparently eggs are more important than sweet Marley.   This girl at 8 years is not too big and just 45 pounds and has lived with another dog during her life and also cats.  Chickens are different for dogs and so she is looking for a new place to live.  Marley is is fully house trained and potty trained, She loves riding in a car and enjoys watching the scenery go by as she rides shotgun. While Marley has a few years behind her she has so many more ahead of her. Her infectious smile only guarantees that you will be her beloved family that she will adore as an easy companion dog.  This girl is all about being a loyal, family-friendly companion who is past the puppy stage but still ready for more years of adventures, cuddles and making memories, Marley may be the perfect match for you. if you are a senior or a younger person that just wants a mellow dog to love.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.     ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Ollie by Golly is the kind of puppy who makes people smile the moment they meet him.   This handsome mostly Australian Shepherd boy has a soft semi-long coat, beautiful eyes, and a gentle personality that is hard to find. Ollie does have limited vision on his left side because his left eye is genetically smaller than his right, but it does not slow him down one bit. His veterinarian says he is comfortable, doing great, and does not need any surgery. Ollie has learned to navigate the world just fine and is full of confidence, curiosity, and puppy joy.   He is a sweet, easygoing little guy who is incredibly gentle with a 3-year-old toddler in his foster home. He also does wonderfully with older children, adults, and people he meets. Ollie has no fearfulness and no rough edges to his personality—just a soft heart and a happy spirit.   When he is not cuddling near his people, Ollie is busy doing important puppy things: chasing bubbles, watching butterflies, sniffing every inch of the yard, playing fetch, wrestling gently with his dog friends, and joining in on the morning zoomies. He may even decide a bullfrog is worth investigating if one happens to cross his path.   Ollie has been in foster care for three weeks and has already blossomed into such a happy, loving boy. His foster mom has been delighted to watch his personality shine brighter every day. He would love a home with children, another playful dog, or simply people who want a loyal little companion close by.   If you are looking for a puppy who is handsome, gentle, playful, and wonderfully special, Ollie by Golly may be your perfect match. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to learn more. Please include your city and state. Ollie is fostered in Tennessee, and adoption is available in Tennessee as well as throughout the Northeastern corridor with weekly transport.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Knox! If you've ever wished for a dog who thinks you're the greatest person in the world, Knox has been practicing for this role his entire life. This handsome 3-year-old Aussiedoodle weighs about 80 pounds at the moment, but don't let the extra fluff fool you—he's already working on a healthier lifestyle after spending his early years enjoying a little too much people food. His former owner adored him and spoiled him with table scraps, so now Knox is discovering that dog food, daily walks, and playtime are the recipe for feeling his best. Knox's world changed forever when his beloved mom unexpectedly passed away this spring. Since then, he's been missing what he treasures most: having someone to love. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, Knox checks all the boxes. He's house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, loves children, and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes everyone feel like they're his favorite person. Whether you're heading out for a walk, spending time in the backyard, or loading up the car for a weekend adventure, Knox will happily be right by your side. He's looking for a family that enjoys being active and will help him continue his fitness journey. A fenced yard for games of fetch, daily walks, and plenty of quality time together would be his dream come true. While Knox hasn't officially met cats, he politely ignores the neighborhood cats he sees during walks, so we think he has the makings of a respectful housemate with proper introductions. Neutered, heartworm negative, and ready to begin again, Knox isn't just looking for another home—he's looking for his next best friend. Maybe that's you. To learn more about adopting Knox, email ccrtennessee@gmail.com and include your city and state with your inquiry. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 18, 2026, 12:23 am
