Story
This sweet Border Collie mix made his way to PAWS in May after narrowly escaping euthanasia at an overcrowded intake facility. Glacier had been sitting quietly in the shelter system since November 2024, largely overlooked due to his shy and reserved demeanor. But outside of the kennel? Glacier comes to life. He’s a gentle goofball with a heart of gold — playful, curious, and full of love once he feels safe. Glacier is heartworm positive, and he can’t begin treatment until he has a calm, loving foster home to rest and recover in. The shelter is just too stressful for his healing process. He’ll need 2–3 months of low-activity decompression time. We’re looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home to help Glacier through this next chapter. His eyes say he’s been waiting a long time for someone to give him a chance — maybe that someone is you?

Meet Nori! Looking for a home before shelter intake appt. 10/16!! Full Grown 40lbs.Smart. Sweet. Loving. Athletic. Leash & crate trained. Calm with daily exercise (2x 45-60 min walks). Greets people/dogs calmly on leash. Excellent Recall. Excellent Hiking buddy and will always check-in. Medium prey-drive and will not fixate given enough space. Needs structure, activity, and a YARD. IMPORTANT! Nori has a history of resource guarding (toys, food, gear, etc.) and must be carefully managed around other dogs (ex., water from her own water bowl must be given away from other dogs. No treats, food, or personal toys around other dogs. When corrected by older dogs, she always submits. Can share public water bowl areas but should be watched). SPECIAL NEEDS!! On daily SSRIS for anxiety. Nori will thrive with ongoing behavior support (including resource guarding work), clear structure, and an adopter who is both experienced and emotionally steady.
