Story
Anubis’ Story Anubis was born during the COVID era, a time when many dogs experienced unstable beginnings. Over the course of his life, he has been with two different families and spent a significant amount of time in a shelter environment. He was originally rescued from a shelter and later came into my care, where I have been fostering him and helping him regain stability, trust, and routine. Anubis is an intelligent, high-energy dog with a strong personality. He thrives when he has structure, activity, and an owner who understands working-breed energy and mental needs. Because of his sensitivity and intensity, he is not a good fit for homes with young children. He does best in calm, outdoor environments where he can feel secure and understood. Despite his challenging start, Anubis is deeply loyal and capable of forming strong bonds with his person. He has made meaningful progress with consistency and care, and he deserves a forever home with someone who has the time, patience,

Story
Meet the amazing Callie! She was found as a stray with a horrible skin infection and has transformed into a sweet, cuddly, beautiful girl in her loving foster home. Callie is crate trained; potty trained; good with other dogs and cats; and friendly with kids. In short: She's a GEM. Callie loves to play with doggy friends of all sizes and is especially gentle with her much smaller foster sibling. She also enjoys fun romps in the backyard followed by long snoozes in the sunshine. She's still got a touch of puppy in her and will de-fluff a pillow or gnaw on the coffee table when she is bored (same, girl, same) but responds well to redirection and is very treat-motivated. Callie's ideal family has a large yard where she can roam and run — a herding dog's gotta herd! She is super smart and will thrive with lots of enrichment, play, and learning opportunities like nosework or agility. She is also very affectionate and can sometimes be adorably clumsy expressing just how much she loves you. If you're looking for as perfect a pup as it gets, Callie is definitely your girl. Get ready for a lifetime of love and fun!

Story
Hi, my name is Holly, or Holly Doll as my mom likes to call me. I guess she always tells me that I am such a doll…whatever that means. I want to start off by saying that I am really, really laid back. I think they call me a lap dog, which I laugh at, because I really am too big for your lap, but I enjoy snuggling up all close to you and laying in your lap and giving you tons of affection. I do love playing with my big Boxer sister, but I look forward to my downtime where I can stretch my body out and just relax. I will get along with any dog really, as I am mild mannered and incredibly respectful of their space, food, toys and treats.I do love a good squeaky toy every now and then, too. I enjoy my walks and I am good on a leash. I do get really excited when I see people or other dogs when I am out, but I cannot help it, I enjoy the attention and want to play!! I get quite verbal and jumpy, but I am working on controlling my excitement – which is no fun. I appear to be good with kids, although I don’t currently live with any, but my mom can tell how happy I get when we see kids out and about. I wag my tail really fast and tap my feet and try to pull her near them. I don’t know if I am good with cats either. I do not currently live with any and we haven’t come across any on my walks. I can keep you posted though.I am crate, leash, house and potty trained. I learn very quickly and I love the one-on-one time I get with my mom when she is teaching me. I am not a big barker, although my Boxer sister sometimes tries to get me to join in with her, but I can resist. I like riding in cars and will jump right in to go anywhere. I would do better in a living situation with low animal traffic, so an apartment might not be the best environment for me. I would do really well if there were another dog in your home to keep me company when you leave.Overall, I am a wonderful pup. I can have little bursts of puppy energy, but for most of the day, I am laid back. I am super friendly and sweet. Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 50 Age: 2yrs 3mths 0wks

Story
Lil Sebastian has been in a shelter environment since March 2025, and he’s had a hard time adjusting to life behind kennel doors. He arrived at PAWS in May, and like so many sensitive dogs, he's been quietly trying to cope with the noise, stress, and unpredictability of shelter life. We don’t know what Seb’s life looked like before PAWS — but based on his behavior, we can guess that he hasn’t always been treated with kindness. He’s shy and avoidant at first, preferring to hang back and observe. He may not rush up to greet you, and he likely won't be the dog who catches your eye first… but give him a chance, and you’ll discover a truly special companion. With gentle patience, some kind words, and a few tasty treats, Lil Sebastian begins to let his walls down. He’ll tiptoe forward, slowly wag his tail, and eventually give in to the warmth of human connection. Once he realizes you’re safe to be around, he blossoms into a total sweetheart — a goofy, tail-wagging cuddlebug who rolls around, leans into pets, and shows you his playful side. Seb doesn’t need much — just a calm, loving environment where he can feel secure. Whether you're interested in fostering or adopting, you’ll be giving him the gift he’s waited so long for: a place where he can truly relax and be himself.

Story
Georgia is a fun, spirited girl with a happy personality and lots of love to give. She has a higher energy level than some of her calmer shelter friends and would thrive in a home that enjoys staying active. Georgia loves getting out for walks, playtime, and exploring her surroundings, and she’s always ready for her next adventure. She’s friendly, affectionate, and enjoys spending time with her people, especially when there’s fun involved. Georgia would do best with adopters who can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to burn off her energy—after which she’s more than happy to relax and enjoy companionship. If you’re looking for a lively, loving dog who will keep you moving and bring joy to your days, Georgia could be the perfect addition to your home. 🧡
