Story
This is Mya, a 3 year old English Bulldog. She is one strong girl! Mya needs to find another home. Mya's owner cannot take care of her because her owner has a bad shoulder and may need surgery. As sad as it is, Mya and her owner must part ways. Please respond only if you own or have owned an English Bulldog in the past AND if you own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Children must be 10 years old or older. Mya is spayed and she has her shots. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. If you are interested in Mya, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. Mya can be seen by appointment. Since Mya is still with her owner, we can make arrangements with her owner. There is an adoption fee. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Story
Meet our handsome meatball head named Hunter! Hunter is about 2 years old and he is some kind of American Bully breed mix. He was surrendered to our shelter after his owner could no longer care for him in their very busy home. Hunter is a very friendly and outgoing boy who will just jump in your car and go along for the ride! He loves toys and will happily bring them to you while simultaneously running in to your shins. He has a short and stocky, muscular body style. When Hunter first comes outside, he can be an energetic guy, but he does calm down quickly and he likes to entertain himself with tough chew, Nyla bone style toys. He also likes to do the "frog" where he lays out on the ground to cool off. Hunter is a happy, compact guy who just wants some loving attention. He would love to have a family to give him all the attention and cuddles he deserves! He did live with children in his previous home, and we were told he was fine with all of them. Hunter is good with other dogs and he can go to a home with kids 10 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Hunter, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Just in case you need a refresher on our brave boy's story. Axel was caught in a trap down south, chewed off his own leg to escape, and found himself in a SC kill shelter. We rescued him, amputated the rest of his damaged leg, operated on his hind leg, AND treated him for heartworm. Do you think this got him down or damaged his joyful spirit? Not even in the slightest bit! Axel, an approx 2 year old, 47 lb Bulldog/Pit mix (best guess!), is a super happy boy who's an affectionate mushball. He basks in human attention and love, gives out tons of kisses, listens very well, and is a the perfect sidekick for all outings and adventures (all he needs is a lift in and out of vehicles, and he's good to go). He can be a bit "mouthy" when he wants to play (but not in a mean way AT ALL), so a home without very small kids is best. He absolutely LOVES his canine foster sister and is particularly gentle with smaller dogs and little puppies. Axel will thrive in a home with minimal steps, as he cannot do full flights of stairs, but he's totally content sleeping downstairs. No cats. He is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and has been treated for heartworm. His adoption fee is $600.     ##1944821##

Story
Name: Lollipop Nicknames: Lolli. Lolli Girl. Breed: Bully mix Sex: Female Age: 4.5 years Weight: 46 lbs. Before OMD: Found tied to a tree in a park with a bag of 'Ol Roy dog food. Did her stray hold at animal control and we were then happy to scoop her up and welcome her into rescue. Energy level: She’s a vibe matcher. You’re chaotic? She’s chaotic. You’re having a couch day? Make sure there’s a blanket for her too. What she loves: Play time. Chasing the frisbee – not to be confused with fetch; she does not fetch. Benebones. Going for a ride in anything with wheels. People. What we love: With her around you always have a sweet little shadow following you from room to room before curling up in the corner for a nap. Her booty bobbing – her tail is docked so it’s her version of a wag and yes, it is adorable. Choose your own adventure: She’s a licker. She’s a snorer. Cute or annoying? What she knows: Sit. No. Leash manners. What she’s working on: Less mouthiness. Dogs: Could go either way! Could be happy with a sibling; could also be content being the only pup. Other resident dogs should be able to give appropriate corrections (which she takes well) so they don’t get bullied ;). Cats: No thanks Kids: 8+ please! She’s done well with the ones she’s met and doesn’t get overly excited around them. House-trained: Yes! Crate-trained: Yep! Lollipop is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org.
