Story
Please visit www.wtfarmtn.org to submit an adoption application to adopt Cheyenne. All dogs are spayed/neutered (3+ months old) Fully vaccinated: Rabies, DAPPv, Lepto, Lyme, Bordatella Microchipped Dewormed and received preventatives for fleas/ticks/giardia/coccidia/worms Cheyenne is a 3-year-old petite (~40lbs) female English Bulldog with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She’s sweet, curious, snuggly, and eagerly engages with her people, always ready for affection and companionship. Cheyenne does well with other animals and even ignores cats, making her an easy addition to many homes. She loves being close to her people and is happiest when she’s sharing snuggles or simply hanging out nearby. However, true to her breed, she can become possessive or protective, so we are calling her "dog-selective". Sadly, Cheyenne was used as a breeder dog and didn’t receive the medical care she deserved. Instead of addressing her medical needs, she was discarded. She has been treated for a skin condition (now cleared up), spayed and she has a cherry eye. Cheyenne is ready to leave her past behind and find a family who will love her for the amazing dog she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Cheyenne may be the one. 💕 Visit www.wtfarmtn.org to adopt Cheyenne

Story
This is "Goldie". Goldie is about 90% an English Bulldog and the rest maybe American Bully. She has all the characters of an English Bulldog. Goldie is about 5 years and 8 months old and weighs about 46 pounds. Goldie comes to us with a sad story. Goldie and 2 other dogs (not related) were left behind in an apartment because their owners had no means to take care of them any longer. Someone did take the dogs from the apartment but had no place of his own to go with them. So he was desperate to find a place for these dogs. This is where we came in. We took Goldie. The other 2 dogs were taken by another rescue. All 3 dogs were not starving and they were in good health. Goldie was a little confused at first, understandably so. She is doing much better. Goldie is a sweet dog and she even looks sweet! She is calm, she sits when told and she gives her paw when asked. Goldie is a very good dog. In fact, Goldie is a great dog! Goldie gets along with other dogs and it looks like she gets along with cats. In Goldie's new home, children must be 14 years old or older. You MUST own your own home. You MUST own your own condo. Absolutely no apartments. Goldie came to us already spayed. She went to our veterinarian and she got her shots and tested negative for heartworm. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Goldie is $100.00 if you are the perfect family with an excellent veterinarian reference. No credit cards. If you are interested in Goldie, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Goldie on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Goldie will be looking for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS !

Story
Meet our goofy American Bully girl named Nena! Nena is about 1.5 years old, and she was surrendered to our shelter after her owner could no longer care for her. She is a very playful and outgoing girl once she gets to know someone. Nena can be a little standoffish at first, but give her a few tasty treats and she warms right up. Nena has a very short and stocky body type with a squishy, Bulldog like face. This causes her to honk and snort when she runs and plays. She will likely be sensitive to the very hot heat once the summer comes. Nena is a lover, and destroyer, of all fun squeaky toys. She is motivated by both food and toys, and will sit politely for both. She has little legs, but she can move fast and has no problem jumping up on couches. She also loves a good butt scratch and a couch cuddle session. Nena is not aggressive towards other dogs in general, but due to her extra love of toys, we think it would be best for her to go to a home where she can be the only dog to avoid confrontations over those. She gets a little too worked up around active kitties for us to feel comfortable placing her in a home with cats. Nena can go to a home with children 12 years and older who have experience with dogs. We would prefer Nena to go to a home that has experience with Bullies/Bulldogs. No first time dog owners please! Once we find an adopter to commit to taking Nena home, we will have her cherry eye surgically fixed and have her spayed. There will not be an additional fee for this. If you are interested in adopting Nena Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Hello, future best friend, I’m Hugo! I’m a 4-year-old AMbully with a heart of gold, but my brain sometimes overthinks. 🧠✨ I’m not your typical dog—I take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I trust you, you’ll be in for a wild ride of goofiness and fun. We like to call it the Hugo Show! 🎬 I’m all about silly antics that will keep you laughing for hours! I’m great with older kids and cats—so if you’ve got a family, I’ll fit right in and make us all smile. 😸👦 But here’s the deal: I’m a little wary of strangers at first. One day, a new person hurt me very badly, so I'm slow to trust because I worry it will happen again. The nice people here say it won't... so they help me make lots of new friends. I just need some time and patience to get to know you before I can give you my heart (which, by the way, is HUGE). ❤️ Once we’ve built that bond, you’ll see the real me: a playful, goofy guy who LOVES to have fun. I can be a little much for some dogs (I have a lot of energy), so if you have other dogs, they need to be able to handle my playful nature and keep up with the fun. 🐾 If you’re patient, kind, and ready to build a connection, I promise to your ride or die. Let’s start this journey together, and I promise you’ll love every moment of the Hugo Show! 💫

Story
Hi, my name is Pebbles, and I know we just met, but I love you! ❤️ I’m a 6-year-old Pebblepotamus (that’s an Exotic Bully + a hippopotamus in spirit) with a heart as big as the ocean, and a love for life that’s just as expansive. I’m a professional love bug, and I specialize in giving the most loving kisses you’ve ever received. You can’t imagine how much joy it brings me to cover you in sweet puppy love. I also have some serious skills— I’ve mastered the art of the pitiful puppy dog eyes, which I use to get all the attention I deserve. (Don’t worry, I’m worth it!) 😘 When I’m not showering you with love, you will find me happily splashing around in my pool. It doesn’t matter if it’s freezing outside— I’m all about that water life 💦. Just like me, your kids will have a blast, and I’m wonderful with little ones. They’re my favorite!!! I was originally born in London, then I lived in Kuwait for a bit, and then I suddenly found myself homeless in the USA! Fortunately, PUP was there for me and took me in. Yes, I can also speak Arabic! 🇰🇼 My human friends say it’s just one of the many things that make me truly special. One thing you should know, though—I want to be the ONLY dog in the house! I have a big personality and I’m all about being the center of your universe. So if you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready to claim your heart (and your couch!), I’m your girl. Let’s make memories that will last a lifetime. 💖 Adopt Pebbles today—because love is just a kiss away. 🐾
