Story
Vero is a sweet, energetic English Shepard mix who loves belly rubs. She enjoys being outside in our large fenced in yard most of the time and since the weather has been so nice we have had a hard time getting her to come in.  She is obsessed with trying to catch squirrels and will bark at them, but she is otherwise quiet. Vero prefers to sit mostly on her own, but she handles both people and dogs well. She is currently living with 3 large older dogs and mostly ignores them. There are also cats in our house and she is able to see them but does not have access to them. I do believe she would chase them if she could.  She is fed in her kennel and sits politely until she is let out.  We do not kennel her at night. She sleeps on a blanket on the floor or the couch in our dog room. Vero's leash manners could use some work, as she tends to run around. We have only had her a week and she is still coming out of her shell and has just begun sitting with us when we watch t.v. She may need time to relax into a new environment. She would do best in a home with plenty of outside time as she has plenty of energy to spare. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2026, 10:17 pm

Story
Hello – I’m Tami! You were likely drawn to my picture because I am gorgeous, but my personality in real life is sure to melt your heart.I am affectionate and sweet, and my whole face and body light up when I see my people. I am brand new to Minnesota and still settling into my foster home where I am good with everyone, including the gentle dogs and the suspicious cats. I love being with people, but I don’t really know how to live inside yet – everything is new and I want to crawl into little spaces to feel safe. I don’t quite understand how I am supposed to do my “business” with everyone staring at me, so I hold it in until I can get some privacy; my foster family is really happy when I do that outside. I wish I could tell my whole story so you could understand why I sometimes skitter away when people try to grab me or put things over my head. I was found in Alabama as a stray young mama, trying to keep my puppies safe. Some nice people brought us into rescue, where I’ve been getting healthier and am filling out my skinny 45 lb frame. I am now in Minnesota looking for my forever home. My foster family has very quickly fallen in love with me and would love to keep me, but they think there is a super special home for me. I am very smart and very sensitive, and my foster mom thinks my ideal home would be with someone who has experience with dogs like me and who can give me time, patience and heart to support me as I build confidence and trust. I would love to be with someone who understands my herding instincts (so they can keep my brain busy and don’t trip over me when I crouch at their feet!). My foster mom also says that I deserve someone who will be very devoted to me, as I will be a very devoted, special companion. The right dog friend would be nice to help me come out of my shell and learn to be a dog, but some dogs can be a bit overwhelming and scary for me.My foster mom says she’s pretty sure that I am meant to be somebody’s Soul Dog… is that somebody you?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Roscoe is a senior sweetheart with the softest spirit and the happiest smile. He loves being around his people and the resident dog, and he’ll quietly follow you from room to room just to be part of the moment. Snuggles are his love language, and he’ll melt right into you for as long as you’ll let him. He enjoys short walks, a little playtime outside, and absolutely lives for car rides — especially when they end with a Caribou pup cup. He smiles the whole way home like he knows he just had the best treat in the world. At home, Roscoe sleeps peacefully on a dog bed in his foster mom’s room. He rarely barks (only if the resident dog starts the conversation), but he loves to “talk” to you when you come home — a happy, wiggly welcome committee who’s been watching out the window waiting for you. He’s easygoing, gentle, and wonderful with people of all ages. He doesn’t mind cats, loves other dogs, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him feel like an old friend from the moment you meet him. Roscoe’s back legs are a bit weaker these days, so he sometimes needs help with stairs and getting into or out of the car. He takes it all in stride with that same sweet, grateful energy he brings to everything. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to love you, watch over you, and enjoy life’s simple joys by your side, Roscoe is your guy. He’s a happy, gentle soul ready to spend his golden years with someone who sees how special he is.
