Brandy loves Belly rubs.  She is a little finicky with food.  She prefers a little wet with her dry food.  She prefers adults and really bonds with her person.  Older kids would be her preference.  She was adopted in 2023 and returned on 12/05/2025 because she was possessive and protective of the Mom and didn't want her kids hugging her.  They worked with a trainer but we will recommend a different trainer when she is next adopted. ##1698686##

He is fantastic with children, loves being an active part of the household, and has lived peacefully with a cat (though he does like to respectfully inspect what she's up to). Because of recent changes in our work schedules, we aren’t able to give him the dedicated time and activity he truly blossoms under. Trace is ready to be your most loyal adventure buddy and affectionate best friend.

Story
We adopted Max from the pound in November of 2024 when he was 9 months old. He was a great addition to the family, however he has trust and resource issues and he quickly attached to my wife. Being fully transparent, over the last 18 months we noticed he became more anxious towards the rest of the family and has on occasion bitten myself and my daughter. We feel like he would be better not with a family but a single person living alone that could give him their full attention to help with his behavioral issues. He has been professionally trained to include: house, crate, and basic commands; he has never had an accident in the house; he loves to sun bathe on the deck, snuggle with my wife, dances for treats, but perhaps feels threatened by other people in the house. He is very friendly when friends or family come to the house. We feel if adopted by the right person, he would be a loyal companion for years to come; he follows my wife everywhere and is very protective of her.

Sterling is a two-year-old Bassador (Lab/Bassett) that was picked up with several other dogs and taken to a shelter. We took all of them, including this “low-rider” lab, which always seems to be a popular mix. Sterling is sweet, calm, and good with people and other dogs. He has been very clean in his kennel, so we think he is housetrained. If you would like to foster to adopt Sterling, please submit an application. ##2812782##
