We are seniors and adopted peanut and piglet ( daughter and mother) from a shelter near Chattanooga TN in 3/23 after our dog passed of old age and illness in 2/23. We had planned to adopt a poodle but she turned out to have serious biting issues. We love the girls but they were untrained and can’t deal with other dogs though they are good with our 5 year old granddaughter. We can’t train them we did get them vaccinated and spayed and microchipped. After several applications for her mother we have decided that we can’t separate the girls. Meet the S Litter! Seashell and her 2 siblings were brought to us by their family who were no longer able to care for them. We are glad they came to us so we can find them a forever home! Seashell has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Each puppy has an estimated birthday on 01/29/2025 and each puppy has an adoption fee of $340. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about the S Litter, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Arlo is a tricolor purebred Basset Hound and 5 years old. I bought him from a backyard breeder during Covid and I don’t think he was treated well as a puppy. Arlo is VERY food aggressive with other animals around and can be a very jealous dog. I BELIEVE HE WOULD THRIVE IN A SINGLE DOG HOME WITH NO OTHER ANIMALS! He is a great cuddler, loves taking walks outside, sleeps anywhere and everywhere, is house broken and used to a kennel. He can be stubborn with commands, picky with food, hates loud noises and doesn’t get along with my other male dogs. He is friendly with cats but may get jealous of other animals if around them for long. He just doesn’t get along with other dogs for some reason but he LOVES HUMANS, especially those who give him belly rubs and treats. He is up to date on all his shots, recently checked for heart worm and on a heart worm preventative. He can get stinky but I think that comes with the breed. He doesn’t mind having his ears cleaned or taking baths.
