We adopted sweet Shorty from the animal shelter about a month ago because we couldn’t stand to leave him there! He’s very sweet, loving, estimated to be about 2 years old, and a good boy! We have 5 children and he has been overwhelmed by the amount of them and we homeschool, so he isn’t able to rest like a young dog should be to do so. We know there’s a forever home out there waiting for him that is calmer and fits his personality better! We adore him and want to make sure he has the best forever home!

Marley is a sweet and loving Basset Hound/Mix. She was born on 5-24-15, and weighs 43lbs. She has a wonderful presence about her that just makes you feel good - she is pure love! Marley is a low energy gal, who prefers an evening stroll, followed by a treat. She is crate trained, house trained, and can be trusted when left out in the house alone. This loving girl is friendly with everyone she meets - adults and kids! She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Remus came to us after he was found injured and taken to a metro Atlanta animal control. Remus was seen at an emergency vet. It was determined he had no nerve feelings and he could not bear weight on his front leg. His leg had to be amputated. Remus has recuperated after surgery and is ready for his forever home. He is doing well getting around. He is approximated 5 to 6 years old and weighs approximately 40 lbs. He is a sweet boy who loves people and other dogs. More photos to come. Alcovy's Beagles require a secure fenced-in yard.  Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. Arlo is a tricolor purebred Basset Hound and almost 4 years old. I bought him from a backyard breeder during Covid and I don’t think he was treated well as a puppy. Arlo is very food aggressive and can be a very jealous dog.I believe he would thrive in a single dog home! He is a great cuddler, loves walks outside, sleeping on my bed, doesn’t mind baths and is house broken. He can be stubborn, picky with food, hates loud noises and doesn’t get along with my other male dogs. He is friendly with cats but may get jealous of other animals if around them for long. He just doesn’t get along with other dogs for some reason but he loves humans, especially those who give him belly rubs, treats and pets. He is up to date on shots, recently checked for heart worm and on a heart worm preventative.

Oakley is a super sweet red & white, 14-year-old old girl. Oakley is mourning the loss of her partner, Wagner, who recently went to the Rainbow Bridge. She is learning to continue life on her own. Oakley loves car rides and walks, and she is crate trained and knows the dog door. We suggest no small children for her. She is very agile, does stairs, and can get on furniture easily. She will get on those counters, so watch where you put your food. She would love for you to pet her all day long. She will get as close to you as she can and give lots of nudges. Oakley loves to play with other dogs and will bark to get them to play with her, but she does tend to be the alpha. An adoption application is required but does not commit you to adoption.
