When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Midge is a very gentle Basset Hound and Chinese Shar pei mix looking for a forever home. She was taken in from a bad hoarding situation and is now doing living in a REAL foster home with other happy and loved friends and food and medical care too!! I am learning everyday what it means to be man's best friend and it is pretty sweet :) Midge came to the rescue with little hair and skin infections and entropion on both eyes (meaning her eyelashes were scraping her eyes every minute of every day..... think about how miserable it is to have ONE eyelash in your eye ;( and STILL a sweet and loving personality, despite how she was physically. The rescue fixed all my stuff up and now I have gorgeous, shiny and thick black fur and my eyes don't hurt anymore!!! She would be best in a home with another calm and confident dog. No food issues, couchy potato in training!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Hi, I’m Shorty. You will immediately notice how affectionate and loving I am. I’m pretty shy and it takes me a little time to adjust to new spaces, but I’m very curious and love to explore. Loud noises are pretty scary, too, but as long as my humans are close and tell me it’s okay, I’m good. I love my stuffed animals and toys. I’m mostly housetrained, just small accidents when I get scared or excited. I’m also learning how to walk on a leash and I make my foster parents giggle a lot while doing this! But then they tell me “good job!” and I get treats and belly rubs. I can’t wait to find my forever family! Shorty is estimated to be three years old and 35 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Meet Cutie- Just as her name suggests, this pup is adorable in every way. Even though her legs are short (low rider mix), she has a pep in her step and wants to be where the action is. Cutie loves to play and is great with our resident dog and our 3 boys. Balls, bones and stuffies are her favorites. As much as she loves to play, Cutie also loves to lay in someone’s lap and snuggle. She can be a little shy at first, but is a quick learner and warms up to anyone who has hands that will pet her. Cutie is doing great with potty training and is working hard at kennel training.
