Story
Meet Lobu! Lobu is a sweet, loving girl who has done an amazing job raising her 10 babies and is now ready to find a family of her very own—one that will adore her and spoil her the way she deserves! Lobu can be a little tentative when meeting new men, which makes us think she may not have had many positive experiences with them before coming into rescue. With patience and kindness, she has learned to trust her foster dad and continues to gain confidence every day. She currently coexists well with the other dogs in her foster home, but she would much prefer to be the only dog and have all of her family's attention to herself. Surprisingly, despite being an enthusiastic squirrel chaser, Lobu does great with cats! She's fully house-trained and has excellent manners in the home. One thing she does not enjoy is being kenneled—but fortunately, she doesn't need one. Lobu is not destructive when left out and is perfectly content relaxing around the house. While toys aren't really her thing, she does enjoy having a good bone to chew on. Most of all, Lobu loves being near her people and soaking up affection. This truly sweet girl has spent her life caring for others. Now it's her turn to be cared for. We know her perfect family is out there, and we can't wait for Lobu to find the loving home she deserves. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2654322##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    If you’re looking for a best friend who can keep up with every adventure and then happily snuggle beside you at the end of the day, Puggles just might be your perfect match. She is the kind of dog who makes you seriously consider becoming a foster fail—and for good reason. She’s incredibly smart, wonderfully friendly, and simply a joy to have around. Puggles truly loves people. Spotting a new friend is enough to make her entire body wiggle with excitement! She has excellent manners out in public and has become a favorite everywhere she goes, whether it’s dog-friendly breweries, restaurants, parks, or neighborhood walks. She’s also wonderful with children and happily greets friendly dogs of every size with a wagging tail and a playful spirit. She’s currently living with two large dogs and a cat and fits right in with the family. While she absolutely enjoys having canine friends to play with, she doesn’t require another dog in her forever home as long as she has people who include her in their lives. One of Puggles’ happiest places is outside. She loves to run, explore, and play, and she would absolutely thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs every day. She’s athletic, eager to learn, and so smart that agility or other fun training activities would be right up her alley. Her foster family also discovered an important little quirk that helped everything click—Puggles simply doesn’t like to potty while attached to a leash. Once given the freedom of a secure fenced area, she happily takes care of business. Because of this, she is now considered potty trained and is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where she can comfortably maintain her routine. She has started urinating on leash but still prefers to do her business off leash in a safely enclosed area. When the adventures are over, Puggles transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug. She loves curling up on the couch for movie nights, soaking up affection, and being close to her people. She also has a playful side at home and is always happy to entertain herself with sticks, chew toys, and anything appropriate to satisfy her love of chewing. Puggles is the complete package: affectionate, social, intelligent, playful, and endlessly adaptable. She’s the kind of dog you can confidently take almost anywhere, knowing she’ll charm everyone she meets. All she needs is a family with a securely fenced yard, plenty of love, and room for one incredibly special little girl. Whoever welcomes Puggles home won’t just be adopting a dog—they’ll be gaining an adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and loyal best friend.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. This dog requires a Bulldog Application.  All applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application. To learn more, visit  https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/bulldogs/ to fill out the Bulldog application. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
