Hi friends! My name is Peaches!  I am 2-3 years old and only around 30lb. I’m just a little gal and I’m full grown! See my legs? I’m barely taller than a chihuahua! Ever heard the saying “good things come in small packages”?  That’s me!! I came to rescue on an airplane from Los Angeles CA, with my sister Muffin. The shelters were full and needing to help dogs displaced by fires, so The Rescue Crew offered to help us become Minnesotans! We are in different foster homes now and ready to find our forever homes! Muffin is a foxy Brindle and I’m the beautiful blonde sister ;)   We both have super short low rider legs!  We are a mystery mix. .  I’m super people loving and cuddly. I hope you like to spoon because if you plan to lay down, I will waste no time joining you in close proximity! I may even put my short little arm around you if you will let me!!  ALSO, you need to know that belly rubs are my favorite past time. I will flop right over and sprawl on my back so you can scratch my little belly until your hand gets tired! And then once it’s rested, I hope we can do that all over again! There’s no such thing as too many belly rubs for this girly! I’m in a foster home with other dogs and kids and I’m great with all. In the mornings I like to run around and play with the 4 year old boy here. He gives me stuffies and I love carrying them around. I’ve also spent time around cats and I am wonderful with those too! I’m house trained and crate trained as well. I love food and treats and would be easy to train tricks with. I already know how to sit! I’m a smart girl and I want to please my people! I’m looking for a home that can help me get out and about to build confidence since I have not had a ton of exposure to the big world, and I know there’s more to explore with you by my side!  I would also benefit from a dog buddy, but it’s not a requirement as long as my humans will get me out to socialize and see new things to learn that I don’t have to be shy with new experiences. I will be super brave in no time! If you’re looking for a bestie low rider girl, I am the perfect match!! I hope we can meet up soon and discuss your hobbies, interests, and your desires to cuddle  XOXO, Peaches Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. Hello to my future family! My name is Muffin and I am so excited to meet you! I came all the way from California for the good life, and so far I love MN. I am currently around 30+ lbs, but foster mom is trying to fatten me up a bit. She calls me a pocket  low rider with the most beautiful brindle coat. The perfect size! What you will most love about me is my happy and playful spirit. Foster mom has told me so many times that I am a really special young lady, and that any family would be lucky to have me. In fact, if she didn’t already have three resident dogs, she said I would have been able to stay! I am a fun and frisky young lady, and so far I seem to love my humans and other dogs. It takes me about 30 seconds to warm up to the humans, and I come in slowly when meeting other dogs but warm up after a day or so…just a little shy. I currently live with three resident dogs, a 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix, a 6 year old Pittie mix, and a 11 year old Lab mix. I am learning so much from them now that I am the only foster in the house. I know foster mom appreciates that I don’t come in “hot,” but take my time to really get to know them before the playtime begins. I love playing with the resident dogs and cuddling for naptime with the Pittie mix. We are working on some training, but I have been learning a lot from the resident dogs. I am potty trained and I am also comfortable in a kennel, and sometimes just go rest in there. We have already worked a lot on impulse control and have already shown progress in waiting patiently for food/treats and decreasing the jumping behaviors. I have a pretty good sit’s and am working on a few other things, but as a foster with lots of recent changes, we are taking it slow. It helps that my foster mom is a professional dog trainer and is super patient with my learning process. When in doubt, a quick “uh uh” will stop me and get my attention. Finally, I am very treat motivated so am super easy to train! I absolutely love toys…doesn’t matter what type as my preference changes day by day. I really love nylabones and things like that and playing tug is super fun! If I had my perfect world, it would consist of all the belly rubs, all the toys, and a human to cuddle with.  I love people! I will give you a big smile and a wiggle butt and be your best friend after a few treats as a hello but just give me a few minutes to warm up to you. I am a little shy at first, but I warmed up to my new foster mom in about 30 seconds! I really want to please my human(s) and am trying really hard to make the best decisions! So make sure to reward me when I make good decisions. More than anything, I am working on building my confidence, which means foster mom gives me so many news things and new sounds and then lets me know how awesome I am. I am a medium energy dog, so I really like to play and have fun activities and then crash and cuddle for 75% of the day. Are you the family for me? I always have a happy face for my human and just love to be near you! Foster mom says that she can tell that I just want to please the humans…get the cuddles…and eat all the treats! I would do great with any family as either the only dog or with a playful and confident older dog. Fill out an app to meet me…you won’t be disappointed! Story
Hazel is a sweet and goofy hound with the most lovable personality. She’s always up for a long walk and enjoys lounging on the deck. Hazel loves exploring the fenced yard and is a big fan of getting treats from our friendly neighbors. When it’s time to relax, Hazel knows how to get cozy! Whether it's on the recliner or snuggled up in bed, she’s a pro at lounging. She sleeps best in her crate and appreciates her quiet time. Don’t let her short legs fool you — Hazel can be a bit of a mischief-maker! She’s been known to counter surf and sneak a snack when no one’s looking. While she generally gets along well with her doggy sibling, she is working on her resource guarding of food, so would do best in a home without other dogs or a family that is able to navigate this with more than one dog. She would do best in a home without young kids. Her soft ears and love for belly rubs make her irresistible. If you’re looking for a playful, snuggly companion with a little spark of mischief, Hazel is the perfect pup for you! Adoption fee is $350+ tax; please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Hi! My name is Twila and I am from Arkansas. I am a around 2 years old 34 lb Basset Hound mix, living the low rider life! Short legs and fabulously long ears make me the belle of the ball :) I am super sweet, I am fine with other dogs, I tend to ignore them because sniffing and checking things out is more fun! The nice shelter people say I am sweet and cute as can be! From her foster: Twila is a super sweet little girl. Very loving. She is potty trained, pretty good on a leash. She sits for treats (sometimes). Twila likes to play with her tennis ball and stuffed toys. Twila loves running in the backyard and chasing squirrels and bunnies. She looks out the window and barks at squirrels and people that are outside. She sleeps in her kennel at night. She also goes in her kennel for quiet time. Twila does not whine when she goes in the kennel when foster mom runs errands. She loves car rides. She would love to have another active dog to play with. Twila would make a great addition to any family.

Story
Peanut was unfortunately abandoned and basically either left tied around a bush or put in a kennel for the first 6 months of his life. I rescued him when animal control was called and I’ve had him since about August 2024. I believe he was born in December, 2023. He was neutered a few weeks ago. He is a good dog but does have some behavioral issues. He is very stubborn and doesn’t want to listen. He’s just too much for me to handle with my current living situation and inability to get him exercise as he needs. He is high energy at times yet also very snuggly and relaxed. He is struggling to learn he can’t jump on others when he’s excited. He’s a typical Bully Bassett. Needs a loving home with someone who can spend more time with him. I think having other pets could also be beneficial to get his energy out and occupy his time so he doesn’t get so sad when his owner leaves.
