Story
Momma Peg (11yrs)and her son Bagel (9yrs) have been together forever!  So yes, they are most definitely bonded and need to be with each other.  They are absolutely the sweetest pair, and as any mother would and does, Peg protects Bagel from other dogs.  He's her "baby boy" forever, so we need a home that they will be the one and onlys, spoiled, loved for the time they have together.  Oh and not only do they love each other, but they will absolutely adore you!!!   Both are fun, loving, energetic and love to play, they have lots of time ahead to enjoy life.  Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##1678903##

Story
Filled with sage advice and words of wisdom, meet Houston, a thirteen-year-old Beagle mix. While part of the “Silver Sneakers” set, he routinely logs in more steps than his kennel mates, knowing that keeping active and engaged is the key to staying youthful. Looking towards the future with a positive attitude, he’s confident that he has much to contribute as your best friend and companion, in addition to being an expert commentator on the upcoming Puppy Bowl! If you have room on your couch and a good supply of snacks, stop by Little Shelter to meet Houston…he’s the one appropriately dressed in the Superman t-shirt! “The dog’s tail wagged. It was his tail’s job; to synchronize all nearby moods to the measure of his joy. A metronome of happiness.” *Houston is fully grown and housebroken*

Hel Hunter, I am a good 13 yr. OLD boy. Im quiet, Love to sleep, bask in the sun. I eat twice a day. I am food aggressive. Once you put my food down please dont touch my plate till i walk away. If you drop anything on the floor or i steal from the table just let me be. I love to go for long walks and run around in the back yard with my new family. I would love to be in a family with with mom and dad are home all day. Im use to that. I love to cuddle on the couch You see Im coming from a great family Of 3 brothers and 1 sister. My dad just died and my mom is sick and goes back and forth to the hospital. She needs to move and can no longer take care of us. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Kitty is an adorable, sweet, and cuddly puppy with a playful spirit that can melt anyone's heart. At 4 months old, she's just beginning to explore the world around her, and her Beagle mix heritage adds a touch of curiosity and intelligence to her personality. Personality: Kitty is a social butterfly who loves nothing more than being around people and other pets. She's always up for a cuddle session on the couch or a romp in the backyard. Her playful nature shines through as she bounds around with endless energy, ready to chase after toys or play a game of fetch. Despite her youthful exuberance, Kitty has a gentle side too. She's incredibly affectionate, showering those around her with kisses and snuggles whenever she gets the chance. Whether it's curling up in your lap for a nap or giving you those puppy dog eyes, Kitty knows just how to melt your heart. Training and Development: As a young puppy, Kitty is still learning the ropes when it comes to obedience training and house manners. However, her eagerness to please and sharp intellect make her a quick learner. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, she's sure to master basic commands in no time. Given her Beagle heritage, Kitty may have a tendency to follow her nose and investigate interesting scents. This natural curiosity can make training a fun and rewarding experience as you work together to channel her instincts in a positive direction. Ideal Home: Kitty would thrive in a loving home where she can receive plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. A family with children or other pets would be ideal, as she loves having playmates to keep her company. A fenced yard where she can safely explore and burn off energy would also be a bonus. Overall, Kitty is the perfect blend of sweetness, playfulness, and charm. With her irresistible puppy dog eyes and boundless energy, she's sure to bring joy and laughter to any household lucky enough to call her their own.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
