Story
Our best guess is that Samara is a Beagle and Lab mix — or better yet, a mix between cute and adorable! At around 6 months old and 30 lbs, she has a wonderfully sweet, easy going personality. She does great in the play yard with a group of dogs of all sizes, and enjoys playing with toys, but then happily just plops down to chill. She is very good natured and a total lovebug. She is also wonderful with kids, and has a gentle approach that makes everyone she meets fall in love with her. Samara is ready to find a family to call her own.. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Victoria is a 3.5-year-old, 26 lb beagle mix with a stunning tricolor coat and beautiful brown eyes. This gentle, sweet-natured girl is looking for her perfect forever home. Calm, loving, and endlessly patient, she's already proven she can handle a lot of life's chaos with quiet grace. She walks nicely on a leash...No pulling, lunging at squirrels, or stopping to investigate every blade of grass. Good behavior is her default mode…and she’s remarkably quiet. Victoria has a wonderful temperament...Zero aggression, not even when a well-meaning 3-year-old treats her like a stuffed animal. Victoria is patient, tolerant, and genuinely good-natured through and through. She loves dogs, cats & people and is friendly with everyone she meets. Victoria absolutely loves other dogs and must be in a home with a canine companion. She’s a lovely, sensitive girl. Victoria settles in easily and snuggles when she's ready. She's respectful of her space, but won’t turn down an invitation to join you in bed. Once she trusts you, she's all in. Because loud noises and traffic can scare her, Victoria will be happiest in a quieter suburban or rural environment rather than a busy city, somewhere she can enjoy walks feeling safe and relaxed. Victoria is a lovely, sensitive girl looking for a calm, loving home. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered

Hopper — The Goofy, HeterochromiaEyed HeartStealer From Texas Meet Hopper, a beagle/hound mix puppy with a personality as unforgettable as his name. At just 4 months old, this Texas boy is already a master of goofiness — all floppy ears, happy hops, and joyful chaos in the best possible way. Hopper’s beautiful heterochromia eyes (one blue, one brown) make him stand out instantly, but it’s his sweet, playful spirit that wins everyone over. He’s the kind of pup who will keep you laughing with his silly antics, then curl right up beside you for cozy snuggles when he’s done entertaining the room. He loves playtime, loves people, and loves turning every moment into fun. Hopper is bright, affectionate, and ready to grow into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a puppy who brings joy, warmth, and endless giggles, Hopper is ready to hop straight into your heart. ##2758628##

Story
Sweet REINA is the kind of dog that makes everyone fall in love instantly 3-4 years old just under 37 lbs. She's an easygoing, low-maintenance gal who is just happy to be included in whatever you're doing. She's living with an awesome Foster family and they say that Reina is simply happy just being by your side whether its tagging along for errands, relaxing at home, hanging out at a brewery, or just going for a walk in the neighborhood. Her photos and video show just how sweet and loving she is. She is ALWAYS excited to greet you honestly, you'll probably hear the thump thump thump of her wagging tail before you even see her. Despite not having the easiest past, Reina absolutely adores people and has so much love to give. Reina highlights: Excellent with dogs and people Would do great with kiddos with respectful dog manners Rides great in the car Total rockstar at the vet AND during baths Good in public spaces Loves being outside Walks nicely on leash Enjoys belly rubs more than just about anything Good with dog-savvy cats Likely adaptable to many different home environments House trained Does well in a crate or gated area like a kitchen Reina is missing a few teeth likely from an old injury, chewing on rocks/chains, or simply not being well cared for in the past. Whatever her story was before rescue, its clear she didn't let it harden her heart. She's incredibly trusting, affectionate, and loves everyone she meets She's also had a litter or two in the past, but those mama days are officially behind her Reina is scheduled to be spayed soon, and if she's adopted before her appointment, her spay will still be covered by the rescue post-adoption. Reina is such a special girl with the sweetest spirit, and we cant wait for her to find the family she's always deserved Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info on Raina! We have lots of videos of her too!

Story
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Angel. This sweet 1.5 year old 24 pound baby girl Beagle/Terrier mix is a true survivor. She has been through more than most Dogs ever should. She was found abandoned in a dumpster after giving birth to her puppies- scared, exhausted and left to fend for herself. Despite everything she’s still here and slowly learning that the world can be kind. Right now she’s understandably, fearful and cautious. New people, sudden movements, and unfamiliar environments can overwhelm her and she will try to run if she feels unsafe. She’ll need a patient, experienced home that understands shy dogs that may be a flight risk and will be committed to keeping her secure and giving her time to trust. But underneath that fear is a gentle, tender soul. You can see it in her soft eyes and the way she quietly observes everything around her. She wants to trust so badly. If you sit with her long enough and stroke her side softly, you can see her relax and begin to understand what Love feels like. With time, consistency, and a calm environment to support her needs she will get there. Once she begins to feel safe, you’ll start to see glimpses of her true personality: quiet, affection, curiosity, and a deep capacity to bond. What this little Angel needs: A quiet, low-traffic homeA securely fenced yard (this is a must)An adopter experienced with fearful or undersocialized dogsSomeone patient and committed to going at her paceShe may do best with another calm, confident dog who can help show her the ropes, but thoughtful introductions will be important. This is the kind of dog where every small step forward will be a huge victory. If you have the heart and patience to help her feel safe in this world she will undoubtably build an unbreakable bond with you. Quietly changing your life in return. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
