Balika has been with us for 6 years. We got her when she was 8 months old. Her birthday is in November. She has a distinguished black coat with white spots because she is a Blue Tick Beagle. As any Beagle would, she loves food and could eat every hour if allowed. I mostly maintain her weight and give blueberries, watermelon, and banana as her snacks (she is around 20-24lbs). She is such a loving dog and is exposed to other dogs/cats, children, and babies often. She loves paw massages, cuddles, and being near people. If she is missing in the house, then we know she is under our bed in the corner or in the nursery behind the chair. Unfortunately, our medical and financial situations have changed recently and we are not able to provide the amount of care/attention she deserves. We want to make sure she is cared for and loved in her new home.

Meet Lola! Lola is a sweet 2-year-old, 30 lb female Beagle terrier mix looking for her forever home. She is great with kids and other dogs. She also lives with a cat and, funny enough, she’s actually a little scared of the cat — so she definitely knows how to give cats their space! Lola is incredibly friendly and affectionate. When meeting new people she she immediately greets them with a wagging tail and lots of kisses. She is happy to interact and make herself right at home. She has had a good amount of training and knows her routine. She pulls a little on the leash, but nothing major. She is wee-wee pad trained and will also potty outside on the grass. Lola is not spayed and was just at the vet, so she is up to date on her vaccines. She’s a loving, happy girl who would make a wonderful companion. However, he manages his daily life wonderfully without any major issues! 2. Rescue Story * Bongsik entered the Gimje Shelter last summer after being caught in a trap. He underwent surgery to amputate his injured leg. Heartbroken by his tragic story, Adogs stepped in to rescue him and give him a second chance at life. 3. Personality & Characteristics * Interaction with Humans: Is very shy and fearful around people, and it may take a significant amount of time to get close to him. While he tends to dodge or run away initially, he slowly allows physical touch once he gets used to you. Will also occasionally approach you to accept tasty treats! * Interaction with Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with his friends at the center. Is very patient and playful with younger puppies and matches the energy of active dogs well. * Interaction with Cats: Doesn't pay much attention to cats and remains largely indifferent when he sees them. * Separation Anxiety: Since he is currently living in a group environment at the center, it is difficult to accurately assess. * Potty Training: Currently uses indoor potty areas at the center and does very well on pee pads. Does not have a habit of marking. * Motion Sickness: Has shown no signs of car sickness during short-distance rides. * Biting/Aggression: Is a gentle, sweet soul who has shown absolutely no biting tendencies. * Barking: Has not shown any barking behavior at the center. Traing may be necessary in a new home environment. * Likes: Absolutely loves treats! * Dislikes: Is very timid and easily startled by loud noises. * Personality: Is a fearful boy who tends to run away from people at first, so he needs a family that will give him plenty of time and space to warm up. Once he establishes a bond, he displays a playful, affectionate side and becomes very vibrant and active when playing with other dogs!

Everybody meet Bunnie!! This little sweetie is up for adoption and is super loving. She loves people and other dogs. She keeps her kennel really clean so we think she will be easy to housetrain. Bunnie has mid level energy and is around 40 pounds. We just don't know why she has been overlooked for so long!
