Henry-Beagle/Setter Male, ~ 2 ½ yr. (Jan. 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Henry came to the Rescue via a Dog Trainer. She had helped out a family who could no longer care for Henry. He's a good, young dog and has been in the Trainer's Prison Program. Henry has known the life of a family dog and seems happiest as an only dog, although gets along fine in the Program with the other dogs training also. Walks well on a leash and while in class. He's learned so much in the Program and the Head Trainer calls him 'extremely well trained'. He has some service/therapy dog training, knows Service Dog Tasks, such as: Block, Cover, Deep Pressure Therapy. He is about 50# in weight. Henry is also housetrained and crate trained. He's had basic obedience training. At this time, we do not know how he'll be with cats, as there are no cats in the Prison Program. He's not lived with a cat yet. Henry's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Prissy-Beagle/Bassett Hound X female, ~ 2-4 yr. (July 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Prissy came to rescue when her prior owner could no longer care for her. She's been a sweet, loved little girl and in her time of need, a kind lady came to her, giving her a safe space/foster home, while her story is heard by others and a new home can be found for her. She is used to living with other dogs and cats, and is a good girl! We will know more about Prissy as she settles into her foster home. Prissy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. River was taken in by a small town Humane Society when he was found neglected in a bramble filled yard. He's been taken to safety and had loving Vet care, so now ready to find a good home to love him like he desires! He's super sweet and friendly. Quick to learn and athletic, he'll be a great companion. River is about 25# and the Vet says he feels he top out as an adult at 30#. A great size for an apartment or townhouse. River's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. This is my sweet girl Nala. She is a 8.5 year old beagle. Nala has been part of our family since she was a pup. It breaks my heart to surrender her, but due to a change in behavior and having little kids in the house, I can no longer keep her. She has occasional accidents inside and needs access to a fenced in yard or a family who will take her on long walks. We have a dog max that he gets along with, I’m not sure how she will respond to a different dog. She will take food anytime the opportunity presents itself, including out of little hands which is causing an issue in our home having babies. I want the best owner for her, preferably someone who can let her run outside.
