Story
Olivia was adopted from the shelter in February 2022. She turned 2 in December, 2024. At the shelter, she was listed as a Beagle mix and may be a beagle and jack Russell terrier cross. Olivia needs an experienced owner and preferably an owner familiar with Jack Russell/terrier dogs. Olivia needs an owner that can be calm and consistent in her training and in her aggression related to resource guarding behavior. Olivia has had bite incidents, but there have been no bites since November 2023. Olivia is a sweet dog who loves snuggling and attention. She is smart and learns quickly. She rides great in the car. She is calm and content at home during the work day confined to the bedroom with a baby gate up and has never been destructive when left alone. Olivia would thrive with an active owner and adults only household. She is hit or miss with other dogs, but has played well in the past with large dogs and seems to get along well with small male dogs.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13829Hi all! My name is Benjamin and I just arrived with OPH from a shelter in Virginia. I’m about 8 years old and 30lbs… we’re working on the 30lbs part though because I’m definitely rounder than I should be. I love it up here in Maryland so far! There’s lots of fun food, treats, dogs, and people! I love snuggling up in a soft blanket, or circling till I find just the right spot on a cushy dog bed. I even surprised my foster mom and get the zoomies when she gets home from work or I’m super excited for dinner time. She said I’m the cutest! I’m always down for a sniff around the yard, and have started rough housing with my border collie foster brothers. I’m really content to nap and snuggle, or lay on the porch and watch the world go by. As far as daily life goes, I don't mind going into my crate if you throw a treat in and sleep well through the night but my foster mom has also just left me loose in the house and I just napped while she was gone. We’re working on house-training and I’m getting the hang of making sure I potty outside when we go for our sniffing adventures. I think we’d be a great match, don’t you?! Apply soon, I hope to have my forever family to snuggle before I know it!

Read on to find out more about Jerry:- Jerry loves to lay around the house next to his people but is also happy to go out to walk around the neighborhood- He is good on leash without much pulling, has been non-reactive to other dogs. He gets a little distracted by humans because he loves them so much!- Good with other dogs, respectful of his foster dog brother who does not care to play with other pups- He sleeps well in the crate overnight and during the daytime, will let you know when he is ready to begin the day- Appears to be house trained, has not had any accidents since the day after he arrived to his foster home- He is working on his manners such as jumpiness and learning some basic commands- Appears to be medium energy, and will thrive with some exercise such as walks or a place to run around, as well as mental enrichment

Riley is a 6 year old beagle. She is super sweet and loving. She loves to have her spot on the couch and look outside. She gets along great with our other dog and our cats. She has become very jealous and acting out around the baby. She does great with kids, I think she’d be best in a home with either older kids or somewhere she can be main focus. She is really an amazing addition to our family but she deserves to be the center of attention just like she would love. She wants to be laying on the couch all day and is very laid back.

Story
It seems the world's in such chaos and desperation and obviously the animals are suffering greatly. This girl named Dixie has hair loss only due to the huge flea infestation that she came to a vet's office with as she was left in a crammed crate too small for her and 4 other dogs.  There they sat in the heat of August and full of fleas and miserable and not able to move because they were sitting on top of each other. They had belong to an elderly woman that was going to a nursing home and her son who would cared for the dogs for a short time had obviously not done his job. He dropped them off on the front porch and left with just a little bit of an explanation on they need a home We can't keep them My mom's going into it nursing home and I can't take care of them. We're trying to take care of them as a responsible rescue group. I have taken two from the set of four and I need Foster homes for three others. What we know about these dogs is that they are sweet shy submissive kind and under the age of four. They're no larger than 26 lb or less. I just need to have foster homes it will help Critter Calvary take them in get them what they need quickly and find them good homes. They will be beauties once the hair grows back because they are already beautiful inside. Can you help can you help them feel love and safety and comfort and the promise that they'll have a far better life than they've been living. Write to us please today quickly they won't stay long. We don't have a magic wand but they won't stay long. People love beagles and they're the perfect size for a family that doesn't want a large dog and maybe has children that want to be loved by a very gentle kind and easygoing dog breed. Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com mention where you live, city and state. We can work outside of Tennessee. with four other dogs. Thank you so much for considering a possible whisper in the ear from God to please step up and help.  We pay the bills and all you do is pay in time and love to a dog that you can foster. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 8, 2024, 10:28 pm

Story
This sweet girl is call Emma and she is a precious soul that is 2 years old and just begging for a place to call her own.  He sweet original Mom has Lupus and it has become so radical that she could not care for Emma the past 6 months.  Critter Cavalry has a wonderful foster mom that stepped up to help take her in and care for Emma.  This girl is housebroken, crate trained and so welcoming to meeting new people.  She is a Beagle mix girl that definitely has the nose and the persistence to check out her environment when she meets you.  She is sort of snuggly but she is not needy at all.  She will sleep on  your bed and she will greet you in the morning with a wonderful yawn and stretch.  She is good with other dogs, cats and just a casual dog that is less than 2 years old and only 24 lbs.  She is a beauty that will demand not so much from you but could be a great running partner and loves the fenced yard that she has to explore right now.  This girl is smart, active and loving.  She is not a needy dog that has to have someone around all the time.  She will sleep at the foot of your bed and then stretch and engage the day as you wake in the morning.  She will crawl up the bed to your face and give kisses.  Sweet Emma Girl is ready for an active adopter who will take her out for excursions daily, walks or jogs or just experiencing the outdoors.   She is small but large in persona and love.  Won’t you consider Emma Girl?  please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 8, 2024, 10:28 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.A VERY SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM MAY'S FOSTER;  May is a sweet 5 yr old, 30 lb beagle.  She loves to be by your side: whether sitting with you when you read or work on the computer, hang out with you when doing things around the house or yard, and taking car rides.  I recently took a long 1 day trip and she was a great passenger and companion for the day. She is very good with recall. May loves to play fetch and walks well on a leash. Since she loves to play fetch and run, a fenced yard would be nice for her. May is crate trained and good with house breaking. She has been dog selective so she may be best as an only dog. She he loves people so much and would be very happy if someone works from home or is retired.  I think she thinks she is a little person. If you would like a loyal companion and someone to love, May may be the girl for you. May is a girl on the smaller side of medium and filled with beagle genes.  She has many of the wonderful beagle traits which have made the breed so very popular for decades. You will enjoy taking her for walks and watching her play in your backyard, ears flapping in the breeze as she chases that stick. She is the type of dog who likes to please her people and she will try hard to do what you want her to because that is who she is. She has all her shots and is hoping someone will come for her so she can have her own family to love once again. She says to ask you to bring toys when you come to see her! NOTE: As May is a hound, we are hoping for a home with a physical fence so she and her inquisitive nose will be safe. Beagles LOVE to follow their noses. If you are interested in May, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 9, 2024, 5:56 pm

Story
Stumpy-Bassett Hound/Labrador Retriever (Bassador) male, ~ 1-2 yr. (March 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application to adopt. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.
