Story
Pearl is a beautiful young momma who loves her baby and grooms him and other dogs throughout the day. She knows her name well and responds when called. She is house trained, leash trained, loves walking and being outside, and has a laid-back personality for the most part, but alerts you with her beagle bark. She is very athletic, as well. She is great with people and really enjoys getting pet and having someone to snuggle. She has seen cats thru the window, and it seems like she would give a wild chase, so maybe cats are a no.    Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Violet! Violet may be blind and deaf, but don’t let that fool you ~ this girl is still living her best adventurous life. Found as a stray, Violet took to the skies on a volunteer flight to freedom at Miri's Haven. Now that she's here, she's winning hearts left and right. She loves strolling the yard, barking politely for pats, and if fried chicken enters the house, she will locate it with shocking accuracy. Immediately. No notes. Violet may be adorable, but she has standards: soft beds are required, fluffy blankets are mandatory, and rolling around in said blankets is a daily ritual. She is mostly house trained when kept on a schedule and taken out regularly, and she's looking for a home without stairs. Or with a human servant prepared to carry her up and down like the Beagle Queen she is - either will do. Violet is just a sweet old soul with a gentle heart and a nose that absolutely works overtime. She is so ready to bring her cozy, loving energy into a forever home...could it be yours? Violet is approximately 15 years old and 21 lbs. More details to follow as we get to know her better. Fostered in Severn, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org

Story
Minnie is pure joy with a wagging tail—and that tail does not lie. It waves enthusiastically for pets, walks, and any attention you’re willing to offer (the more, the better). She’s a one-dog household kind of lady who bonds deeply with her person. Minnie may take a little time to warm up, but once you’re chosen, you’re hers—in the best, most devoted way. 💛 At home, Minnie is a champion cuddler. She rotates between couch snuggles, napping at your feet, snoozing in a dog bed under the table, and taking long, peaceful crate naps. She crates beautifully and sleeps quietly all night. On leash, she’s all happy zoomies and puppy spirit. Off leash? Not yet—her beagle nose is too busy solving scent mysteries. She loves car rides, adores lap time, and gives Starbucks puppy whipped cream an enthusiastic five paws. A slight morning limp from arthritis reminds you she’s a “seasoned” pup, but once she gets moving, Minnie is all sunshine, curiosity, and wagging devotion. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with a big heart and a bigger tail wag, Minnie is ready to curl right into your life. 🐾💛 Minnie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
Meet Freddie! Freddie Mercury (aka Freddie) is an adorable, very happy sweetheart! Look at that smiling face with the expressive eyes! He is about 3 years old, 26 pound, brown and white color beagle. Freddie loves to go for walks with LOTS of sniffing along the way; he is lively, playful, but also can settle down nicely. He does well in new situations, likes to cuddle and gives sweet "kisses" to his humans, and does well hanging with doggie friends. He is the typical adorable beagle! If you are looking for a very sweet, happy dog, Freddie may be the one for you! Freddie was found as a stray and ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter; we can only imagine how he wondered why his family did not come find him and take him home. He is so happy that PetConnect has come to his rescue and brought him to the DC area to find a forever family that will give him the attention that he deserves and never abandon him to such a scary place as a kill-shelter ever again. Freddie is crate trained. He loves his food and is learning commands (especially if food is involved). He would be a great companion. ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Freddie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Iggy is a 10-year-old terrier mix who sits like a frog and cuddles like a pro. 🐸 At just 15 lbs, he’s the perfect winter accessory ❄️— portable, warm, and extremely loving. His favorite hobbies include lap sitting, blanket burrowing, staring lovingly into your soul, and politely demanding head pats. He’s great on leash, potty trained, friendly with everyone he meets, and happy whether you’re out for a walk or parked on the couch for a Netflix marathon. If you are a home body and have a warm lap, Iggy is ready to move in and steal your heart (and your spot on the couch). Iggy is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
Sadie Mae is as sweet as her name sounds. She is an 8-year-old tricolor Beagle mix with the cutest little ticking on her coat and the sweetest soul to match. She’s a gentle, easygoing girl who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She would be great as on only pup or would love a canine companion in her new home—ideally another calm pup who enjoys quiet company rather than rough-and-tumble play. Sadie Mae is house trained, crate trained and walks beautifully on leash. She’s also working on trimming down a few extra pounds and would be thrilled to have a family who’ll help her stay on track with gentle walks and a healthy routine. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate, and well-mannered friend, Sadie Mae is your girl. She’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and lots of love to her forever home.
