Story

Rocky is a 3 year old beagle/boxer/hound mix. Male. Neutered. DOB 12/23/22. We have 2 other dogs and we have had Rocky for 2 years now, originally adopting him from the Islip animal shelter. While he has made very good progress with temperament and behavioral issues since then, at this point it seems he really needs to be in a home with no other dogs (I cant speak to how he would be with other types of pets). He can be jealous and wants all the attention, and this has led to him to have several altercations with one of our other dogs, most recently resulting in a pretty bad fight between them. After much difficult consideration, we think its best and most fair to our other dog (and Rocky) for him to be in a different home environment. He is very smart and extremely affectionate and we are sure he will otherwise be a great dog in the right home. We desperately dont want to bring him back to a shelter and are hoping he can find a new loving owner with a big heart here.

This adorable boy is PATCH and he's a year old and fully grown at just 35 pounds. He and his brother were surrendered to a Shelter when their family's circumstances changed. His brother was adopted and Long Road Home rescued Patch and we are going to find him a wonderful home because he's such a great pup! We've found a wonderful Foster family for him and they have another pup so he's so happy! Patch's cuteness and fun personality shine through in his photos. He's very sweet and great with other dogs and loves children. There was a 5 year old little boy at his photo shoot and Patch had a blast playing with him! We think he's a Beagle mix and the great news is he has a medium-lower energy level and has been quiet in his Foster home...not like pure breed Beagles. :) We're looking for a loving family who will make Patch a big part of their family. It would be great if they have a doggie sibling for Patch but he would be fine as a solo pup if he gets lots of activity and attention. He'll love long walks, hiking, playing in the backyard and a fenced in yard. He behaves very well in the car so count him in for any adventures too. Patch is healthy, up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered and housebroken so he's totally ready for his 'furever' family. I’m looking to rehome this sweet boy. He was unexpectedly placed with me after a last-minute change, and I’m trying to find him the right forever home. He belonged to my brother-in-law, who has since passed away, and unfortunately my in-laws were unable to keep him.He is not neutered but has had vaccines in the past. I do not know if they are currently up to date. He’s about 11 years old, very affectionate, and great with my 10-year-old son. He does best with older children, as younger kids can make him an anxious but he loves kids.Fuzzy lived without other dogs for many years, so he would likely do best as the only pet in a calm home. He is very good with cats and bearded dragons! He’s a snack guy - he loves his treats! He absolutely loves to be outside in the sunshine, and he is very happy when he goes on long walks! He truly is such a loving dog, and I just want to find someone who will give him the care and stability he deserves.
