Meet Scottie, a 5-year-old beagle mix with a tender heart and a story that will stay with you. Scottie lost his entire world when his beloved owner passed away, leaving him alone in the home until help arrived. Since then, he`s been adjusting to the overwhelming changes in his life, and doing his best to be brave. Scottie is understandably cautious around new people and environments. He may bark, retreat, or show signs of fear at first. He needs time, patience, and gentle understanding from someone who will let him move at his own pace. Once he knows he’s safe, Scottie has shown glimmers of trust and even knows a couple of cues like `sit` and `paw.` One place Scottie has started to feel more like himself is around other dogs. Being around calm, confident canine companions helps him open up and feel more secure. He would do best in a quiet, adult-only home, ideally with another friendly dog to guide him and show him the world isn’t so scary. Scottie doesn’t need much, just someone with a kind heart, and the patience to help a grieving soul find joy again. Meet Alfie Moon, an 8 year old Shar-Pei, Beagle mix. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old and he is the sweetest boy. He is housebroken, loves long walks and being around people and dogs alike. He is happiest in company which brings me to why I feel that re-homing him is what is in his best interest. My work schedule is far too busy and requires me to be out of the house for very long periods of time. Alfie stared developing separation anxiety, and it's been heartbreaking to see how it affects him. He deserves more than I can give him right now. I believe he would thrive amongst a busy family, someone who has other dogs or someone who just has more time to spend with him. He deserves all the love, affection and time in the world.
