Story
Astro is 8 years old. We’ve had him since he was 4 months old. He loves attention and is very affectionate. He enjoys playing inside or outside and loves to sunbathe. He’s always been good with other dogs. He’s been around children around 8 years old and up. Our hope is to find him a family or individual that will let him be the great little companion that he is.

He will gladly chew a toy next to you, as you go about your evening routine. Likes: "Wanna go outside?" are Judah's favorite words. He is always down for training and learning new things, especially if it involves getting treats! Aside from food as a love language, his other love language is definitely hugs and cuddles. This dog loves to snuggle up next to you. Dislikes: Did someone say SQUIRREL?! They're definitely public enemy #1.  Judah is a happy, adventurous hound with a heart full of love. He recently graduated from obedience training and is eager to show off everything he's learned. Whether he's exploring a new trail, meeting new people, or sniffing out his next adventure, Judah is happiest by your side. Dog's Name: MiloGender: MaleCurrent Age: 1 yearCurrent Age Range: Adult (1 year or older)Current Weight: 24 lbsExpected Adult Size: Medium (25–50 lbs)Breed: BeagleEnergy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Yes Kids: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Fence Requirements: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks and exercise. Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Not fully potty trained, working on it. Ideal Home: Milo would do well with an active family or individual who will give him plenty of playtime, sniff walks, and affection. He can live with another dog or as an only dog, though slow introductions are best. Like many rescue dogs, he needs a few days to settle into a new home before his playful, loving personality shines. He's still working on house training, basic commands, and building confidence, so he'll thrive with a patient adopter who will continue his training using positive reinforcement. Likes:Milo loves snuggling, peanut butter treats, chew toys, tug-of-war, and following every interesting scent his beagle nose can find. Once he's comfortable, he wants to be close to his people and is happiest curled up beside them. Most of all, Milo adores children and is incredibly gentle and affectionate with them. Dislikes:Milo is still a little unsure around cats and prefers to give them plenty of space. He's also building confidence with going outside on his own and will happily sleep in his crate, though he's still learning to go in willingly. Milo's velvety soft ears are hard to resist, but it's his gentle heart that makes him unforgettable. Watching him blossom from a shy pup into a playful, loving companion is incredibly rewarding. He can match the energy of the home—ready for fun when it's playtime and happy to cuddle when it's time to relax. His sweet nature and love for children will make him a wonderful family dog. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and the dog will be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. ##2795359##

Story
Hello! My name is Boone and I have been at the shelter since 2024. I am considered a senior, but don't let that fool you- I can still get going when I want to! I love to play chase or fetch in the run, and my favorite thing of all is a walk. I do very well on the leash and have excellent manners. I know when it's time to settle down, though, and on those days you can find me stretched out (and snoring) on my nice bed. I can run and play when I want to get silly, but I am still older, and due to my age, I would like a home without younger kids. Maybe we could be retirement buddies? My favorite toys are squeaky balls and stuffed squeaky toys- although the stuffed squeaky toys never seem to last long around me. My favorite enrichment is the stuffed cardboard boxes and paper towel rolls. I have been to lots of events and places in my time here and am always a superstar. I love meeting people and do well in the car too. I'm ready to hop in one and ride away from here! I am very affectionate, too, I like belly rubs and like to lean against you. I am a "people person" and have never met a stranger! I'll get right in your lap and enjoy cuddles. When it comes to other dogs, though, I like things my way and I'm old enough that I've earned the right not to share! I don't like it when other dogs get in my personal space- after all, who likes a stranger in their face? I would like to have a place - and a person- that's all my own.
