Life there was harsh—food was scarce, danger was constant, and survival was never guaranteed. At some point, Belle suffered a broken hind leg that healed crooked, leaving a visible reminder of her struggles. But Belle never let her past slow her down. She walks, runs, and plays like any other dog, and the only thing she carries from her injury is her remarkable resilience. The leg doesn’t affect her daily life, though we keep an eye on it since the skin there is thin. What truly defines Belle is not her scar, but her sweet, gentle nature and her quiet determination to love and be loved. Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. Say hello to Forrest. He is as sweet as him namesake. A teenage boy took him from a suspicious situation to make sure he got the life he deserved. Thanks to that boy, Forrest made his way to one of our volunteers who instantly said “yes” to fostering him. He walked with a limp that she knew needed to be checked out and she was right. Forrest suffered a pelvic fracture sometime in his short little life. But the vet said it was already healing and with rest and proper support he would continue to heal and do great without surgery. And he is doing great. We don’t know what happened to cause this injury. We just know that his life is going to be amazing from here on out. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and he loves everyone he meets. His foster mom may be spoiling him :) He is doing great with house and crate training and he is a fast runner and learner. He will be great for a fun active family. We are estimating he was born about the end of May so he is a typical puppy with typical puppy energy and habits. He weighs about 15 pounds and we are having to guess at his breed mix. We are thinking he will end up being a medium dog. He will complete his vetting and be ready to travel to his forever home by then end of Sept. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee. But “Lucky Stars” shone down on us Sixer’s with Molly’s Place stepping in ta save us. Thought ta be Beagle/Terrier mix we are presently 9 months old weighing bout 20-25#. Should end up being “Lap Size”! We’s all active, sweet as sugar, social puppies that are very people and other dog friendly and of course, “Cute as a Button”! Add this to each one of us unique being “Lookers/Head turners” in our own way! Get your applications in! Perfect pups like us don’t last long! When I look at this little lady I see the most adorable little “semi-low rider” girl...just beautiful and I love her markings. Petra will be a lot of fun to the lucky family that adopts her! She is sweet, happy, spunky and good natured, but she is a little more shy than her sister. Still being a youngster, she loves nothing more but running around playing with the other pups and her toys. She enjoys being around people and gets along great with the other dogs. My wish for Petra is to be adopted by a fun and active family that will include her in their everyday comings and goings. Petra and her sister Penny (also posted) were pulled from a local animal shelter. Petra is 5 ½ months old (dob 4/4/26) and weighs 24 pounds at the time of this posting (9/18/26). She has been spayed, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Petra is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area most weeks and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
