PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Paprika, also known as 'Miss Bossy Pants!' Paprika is #1 of this litter of 10. She is one of the smallest of the litter, but she doesn't take anything off the bigger puppies. She loves to play with everyone and will demand they play with her, whether they want to or not. This is a girl who knows what she wants! Paprika is very loving as well, and enjoys a good snuggle with her siblings and/or humans after play time. We dont know the breed of these puppies, they are all different, so there's probably more than 1 'daddy' involved. Mom is very mixed. Paprika, being one of the smallest of the litter, will likely be around 40 lbs when grown, but this is just a guess based on her current size and build. She is an absolute doll baby with short little legs and a round, stocky body. She is going to make a great addition to a family! She is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Currently 8 weeks old at the time of this post, and weighs about 8 lbs. Paprika is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hey there, I’m one of the lucky beagles — and wow, do I have a story! &#226&#156&#168 I’ve spent over half my life being beaten and mistreated. My owner ran a cockfighting ring (yeah, real classy guy ), and when he finally got caught, all five of my beagle buddies and I were scooped up and taken off the property. We were terrified. But honestly? At that point, I figured things couldn’t get much worse. …well, turns out, they almost did. We were scheduled to be euthanized — and no, that’s not like a fancy award or a “good dog” certificate. It’s the bad kind. The “game over” kind. But then… BOOM! Hero moment! ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue swooped in and saved five of us! Another rescue had already claimed one, so the six of us were split up with care. A super cool couple agreed to take the three of us who were the most scared (hey, no shame — some of us are just delicate, okay?). The two braver beagles went off to the ranch, where they can run, play, and show off their confidence. As for me? I’m about to learn what it’s like to be loved — like, actually loved. Soft beds, belly rubs, snacks that I don’t have to steal, and humans who don’t yell or hit. Am I ready for a better life? HECK. YES. Bring on the treats, the naps, and the “who’s a good girl?” speeches. Spoiler: It’s me. I’m a good girl.REQUIREMENTSAnother dogFenced yard Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. My name is Miso hmmmmm I'm assuming the kennel staff was hungry.  From what I have googled I am a soup with fermented bean paste and fish broth EWWWWW YUCK!!!!  Please don't think I smell like finish because I can tell you I DO NOT!!  Now i might not be smelling like roses after sitting in a kill shelter on a cement floor for weeks!  And well there is no spa here so a bath is out of the question I mean we don't even get outside :(   I'm a little scared and trying really hard to trust humans but the ones I met before coming to the shelter were well lets just say not very nice :(The shelter lady says I was saved by 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue and I will be leaving this place to go North to a new life NEVER again to have to sit in a cage!!  That sounds amazing!!!  I hope they don't want me to eat any of that Miso soup and ummmm I would NOT be opposed to a name change!!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Hi i'm Apple!!         I’m kind of the total package: sweet, snuggly, and super loyal. I love curling up next to you for a nap. I’m also great at listening—especially if snacks are involved. I’ve had a bit of a rough start, but I haven’t let it break my spirit. I’ve got so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for someone who sees me for who I am: your new best friend. Will you be my forever human? I’ll be right here, tail wagging, hoping today’s the day we find each other.
