She is full of love and craves attention(all the time), but she is also an escape artist and my mom is too old and I'm too fat to catch her. She is 2 years old and needs a yard with a fence and multiple walks a day to shed energy. A physically active owner is ideal. Has had training but requires more especially when it comes to coming when called. She has a high prey drive and should not be with small dogs and cats. Not aggressive with children but she does get excited and is very strong and may knock them over or scratch them on accident. She does not like being left behind. She's fine if you go to the store, but if you are a few feet outside the house where she can't follow and she sees you, she will cry and bark until you go back to her. She has a very loud bark both low and high pitched. She loves to play and always carries a toy with her just to have. When we return from somewhere we always see her run into the house and come back with a toy to give us. Please consider adopting.

Beagle Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around a year or 2 old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. Poppy is the perfect little companion for any individual or family! Poppy loves to go on walks, spend time around other dogs, and sniff around the yard (in true beagle fashion), but more than anything... Poppy loves to be near her people! She's great with kids, too! Poppy has received an A+ in couch snuggles. Poppy has been learning lots from her two foster siblings and, while she hasn't initiated play with them yet, they have given her a lot of confidence.
