Story
Gary is a beagle mix puppy who's learning all the joys of being a family dog. He's doing great with potty training and will let you know when he needs a break. He's still getting used to his crate but he settles with routine. He loves other dogs and currently enjoys playing with two frenchies in his foster home. A home with another playful pup would be a big plus for him. He hasn't met cats. Gary also does well with a 1 year old child in the home and has shown no aggression--just normal puppy nibbles. Like any young pup, he's in his chewing phase and still figuring out toys, but he's curious and learning quickly. He's also working on leash skills and gaining confidence with each walk. Once he bonds with you he becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's a gentle, playful puppy looking for a loving home to help him continue growing into the wonderful dog he's meant to be. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Gary is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.May 9, 2026, 12:08 am

Hercules `s StoryHi, my name is Hercules, and I’m a sweet senior boy with a big heart and lots of love to give. I truly enjoy meeting new people and I’m happiest when I’m getting attention or just hanging out by your side.I get along well with other dogs with proper introductions, and I’m doing amazing with my leash walking skills. Walks are one of my favorite ways to spend time, especially when I get to explore at a nice, easy pace.I’ve done great in a crate and know how to settle in and relax. I’m playful, gentle, and affectionate, making me the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. All I’m hoping for now is a loving home where I can enjoy my golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered senior to share your life with, I just might be your guy.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.htmlIncluded with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. Story
Meet Hazel! Around 10 months old as of May 2026, and about 30lbs. Hazel is a happy, energetic girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Hazel was abandoned as a young puppy, and has since spent the majority of her life growing up in rescue and waiting for her forever home. She can be a little timid at first in new environments, but once you gain her trust, she is so loyal and will be your best friend forever! She loves to run and play in the backyard, but is also just as content curling up on the couch to watch TV with her people. She has a few adorable quirks, like watching TV with full attention and showing off some cat-like habits, such as climbing up to high spaces to observe her world. Hazel is curious and full of personality, with a heart full of love waiting for the right person to help her feel safe and secure. Because she was abandoned in the past, she just needs someone patient who can give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Because Hazel can be vocal at times, she would likely do best in a house rather than an apartment. It’s part of her expressive nature and just one of the ways she communicates excitement and curiosity. 🐾 When she’s ready to relax, Hazel loves lounging on the arm of the couch, giving kisses, soaking up love, and watching TV with her people. She’s full of love and ready to bring joy to the right family. Hazel is dog friendly and does well with other dogs, although she is still working on learning a balance between too much excitement, and being nervous of other dogs at first. 🐶 With a little time to come out of her shell, she does amazing! Hazel sometimes can be protective of her food around the other dog in her foster home, so she usually prefers to eat her food in private away from other pets in the house. (We sure can’t blame her for that!) Hazel currently lives in a foster home with a cat, and while she has done well, she likes to chase them a little too much and try to play with them like she would a dog. I mean, how is she supposed to know the difference? Hazel understands that pottying is done outside and is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go, (but she does have occasional accidents due to excitement)! She knows basic commands including “sit”, “lay down”, and “crate”. Hazel is crate trained like a pro and sleeps like a baby in her crate consistently! She is working on leash walking and doing great, but is a little skittish still and will need continued work to gain confidence in new environments! Spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, fully vetted. Does Hazel sound like a good fit for you? Apply to meet her on our website. Acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess

Because she was abandoned in the past, she just needs someone patient who can give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Hazel is dog friendly and does well with other dogs (with proper and slow intros of course!). With a little time to come out of her shell, she does amazing. Hazel sometimes can be protective of her food around the other dog in her foster home, so she usually prefers to eat her food in her kennel for some privacy (we can't blame her!). Hazel currently lives in a foster home with cats. She does well with them, but she does like to chase them a little too much. She just wants to play with them the way she plays with other dogs! I mean, how is she supposed to know the difference? So dog-savvy cats or no cats in the home would probably be best for her. Hazel understands that pottying is done outside and is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go! She does have occasionally accidents when she gets too excited, but as she is getting older this is improving. She knows several commands including “sit”, “lay down”, and “crate”. Hazel is crate trained like a pro and sleeps like a baby in her crate consistently! ❤ She is working on leash walking and doing wonderfully. Because of her timid nature, she occasionally can be a little skittish on walks in new environments, but is working everyday on building her confidence. We do think Hazel would do best in a house environment, and not an apartment. Does Hazel sound like a good fit for you? Apply to meet her on our website! Acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Benny is a senior boy with lots of energy, enthusiasm, love and affection. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He would love to chase the cats if he could so might not be good in a home with cats. He loves a chance to use his Beagle voice but is not an excessive barker; only uses it when he has a reason. He loves being with his human almost as much as treat and meal times. He is not much for car rides, he is good about riding but whines seems nervous wondering where he’s going. Guessing in the past car rides did not end in fun activities for him. He’s a very social boy, loves humans of all sizes and ages and is always happy for rubs and attention. Benny has great house manners and although he uses a crate in his foster home he would be fine without one once he knows his routine. He is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and he is microchipped.
