Story
Gary is a beagle mix puppy who's learning all the joys of being a family dog. He's doing great with potty training and will let you know when he needs a break. He's still getting used to his crate but he settles with routine. He loves other dogs and currently enjoys playing with two frenchies in his foster home. A home with another playful pup would be a big plus for him. He hasn't met cats. Gary also does well with a 1 year old child in the home and has shown no aggression--just normal puppy nibbles. Like any young pup, he's in his chewing phase and still figuring out toys, but he's curious and learning quickly. He's also working on leash skills and gaining confidence with each walk. Once he bonds with you he becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's a gentle, playful puppy looking for a loving home to help him continue growing into the wonderful dog he's meant to be. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Gary is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.June 9, 2026, 12:07 am

Story
Hercules `s StoryHi, my name is Hercules, and I’m a sweet senior boy with a big heart and lots of love to give. I truly enjoy meeting new people and I’m happiest when I’m getting attention or just hanging out by your side.I get along well with other dogs with proper introductions, and I’m doing amazing with my leash walking skills. Walks are one of my favorite ways to spend time, especially when I get to explore at a nice, easy pace.I’ve done great in a crate and know how to settle in and relax. I’m playful, gentle, and affectionate, making me the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. All I’m hoping for now is a loving home where I can enjoy my golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered senior to share your life with, I just might be your guy.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.htmlIncluded with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. Story
Snickers Bar is looking for a foster home to relax and recover in while they are receiving medical treatment. Reason for Foster: Heartworm Positive + URIFoster Time Frame: 2-3 months(The foster time frame may be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Snickers Bar is heartworm positive. They will go to foster with medication to prepare for their upcoming heartworm treatment on 8/25. During heartworm treatment, it is essential to keep them as calm as possible and avoid activities that may increase their heart rate. A medical consultation will be provided at your pickup appointment to ensure you are prepared to take great care of this sweet pup. Snickers Bar is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other dogs, we recommend keeping them separated from resident dogs until they have fully recovered. To learn more about heartworm treatment, check out this link: https://operation-kindness-foster.my.canva.site/heartworms-foster-guide How to take this pet home: Adopt: Snickers Bar is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet? Story
Benny is a senior boy with lots of energy, enthusiasm, love and affection. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He would love to chase the cats if he could so might not be good in a home with cats. He loves a chance to use his Beagle voice but is not an excessive barker; only uses it when he has a reason. He loves being with his human almost as much as treat and meal times. He is not much for car rides, he is good about riding but whines seems nervous wondering where he’s going. Guessing in the past car rides did not end in fun activities for him. He’s a very social boy, loves humans of all sizes and ages and is always happy for rubs and attention. Benny has great house manners and although he uses a crate in his foster home he would be fine without one once he knows his routine. He is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and he is microchipped.

Story
Cagney is a beagle mix. 7 years old about 25lbs. She has thick ears and smooth fur. - Loves petting, she will press her head on you for petting. - She is house broken. - Potty trained. She follow my dogs to go out. She will bark or scratch when she wants to come inside. - She potty 2-4 spots each time she is out . She is shy at first so she needs to see the familiar faces while she walk around potty when she arrives at the new place. - She is playful, love to chase my dogs.but she smart enough to avoid my big dog. - Dogs and people friendly? She loves human. She likes to be the boss so a dog with same size and submissive to play with her is better. - She had some separation anxiety, she slept with her previous owner so now I let her sleep in the work room but sometimes she wants to sleep on the sofa so I let her. - Barking? She’s loud but only bark when playing or when she hears something. - I don’t have Cat so I don’t know. - Resources guarding? She will ask for petting if she see you pet other dogs.
