Ginger is a sweet 7-month-old beagle. We got her as a playmate, companion for our other dog. We have found that it is not a good situation because he's very jealous of her now and it has caused him to become depressed and withdrawn. We feel that our loyalty is to him so this is very hard for us. She's a good little dog, she learns quickly. She is very playful but well-behaved. She knows the word no. It has become difficult also because she wants to play with our other dog and he doesn't want to, so I'm always needing to keep them apart which is the opposite of what we hoped for. Benny is a senior boy with lots of energy, enthusiasm, love and affection. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He would love to chase the cats if he could so might not be good in a home with cats. He loves a chance to use his Beagle voice but is not an excessive barker; only uses it when he has a reason. He loves being with his human almost as much as treat and meal times. He is not much for car rides, he is good about riding but whines seems nervous wondering where he’s going. Guessing in the past car rides did not end in fun activities for him. He’s a very social boy, loves humans of all sizes and ages and is always happy for rubs and attention. Benny has great house manners and although he uses a crate in his foster home he would be fine without one once he knows his routine. He is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and he is microchipped.
