Hi there, Cane is the name! I'm rather shy when meeting new people but give me a few treats and I'm your best friend. I'm very good with other dogs and love to play with toys. I enjoy barking for attention and solving my enrichment puzzle. Oh and how could I forget, I enjoy a good cuddle. I am neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. I am also on current flea and tick prevention. Please feel free to visit me anytime during the shelter's open hours Monday through Friday 11am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

Story
Cookie is an adorable 8 year old, 23-pound Beagle/Dachshund mix who is all about living life to the fullest. This sweet and affectionate pup is a true bundle of joy. With her wagging tail and a heart full of love, Cookie is always ready to brighten up your day. Cookie is friendly with everyone she meets. Her friendly and easygoing nature makes her the perfect companion for everyone in the family. Cookie doesn't live with other dogs, and she will do best as an only dog or with an older laid-back dog. Cookie needs a low activity home. She won't be a good candidate for athletic activities, but she is an excellent snuggle buddy. She is housetrained, crate trained and loves to learn new tricks. If you are looking to add the sweetest girl to your family please fill out an adoption application at www.humanetomorrow.org.

Buddy is a 3 yr old Beagle mix with a very sweet disposition. He loves to cuddle and wants to be your very best friend. He loves everyone...dogs and cats as well!  He is super sweet.  He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines. He is very playful around other dogs. And ignores the cats. He only barks when the other dogs start barking. He loves his tummy rubs and especially likes his tail and belly scratched.  What a great all around smaller dog.  He is about 2 years old and weighs 28 lbs. ##1706607##

Story
Meet Scout, our people-loving, lounge happy dog! She will turn 10 years old this year but is very young at heart. Scout is a beagle-cocker spaniel mix and weighs in at just under 24 pounds. She has a beautiful golden/tan color and is often complimented on her good looks from neighbors and passers by. We adopted Scout when she was about 3 years old (best age guess from shelter). We donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have any history on her background prior to the shelter, but we do know she loves people, does well around kids as long as they arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t poking and pulling at her, and is very content just lounging around in close distance to her human companions.

Scout is a semi-active mature dog who loves to run around the back yard chasing squirrels, followed by some relaxing sunbathing time. She gets bursts of energy and does a few zoomies when we return home for the evenings and enjoys the occasional dog treat (especially anything peanut butter flavored). Scout does not get along with other dogs or cats and would do best in a home where she is the only pet. She currently lives with our family of four, including two young boys ages 5 and 1. We are looking to find Scout a loving home where her companions are able to spend more time at the house with Scout.

Currently, both parents are working outside the home full time and we often have kid activities in the evenings and on weekends, making it difficult to provide Scout with ample outdoor time and bathroom breaks. We are also expecting a third child in September, and are worried the added noise and activity in the household will not be best suited for Scout. An ideal home for her would be one with no other pets, at least one person who is home most days or able to come home during the lunch hour or early afternoon to let Scout outside, and one with older kids or no kids at home. While Scout is kid friendly, she appreciates low key households and more relaxing time near her companions. She does like to get outside and let some energy out once or twice a day, but itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a short bit of energy, maybe 10 minutes or so running around the yard.

Scout is house trained. She is one smart dog! She does have some skin allergies, which we treat with a monthly (4-6 weeks) Cytopoint shot. Alternatively, she can take Apoquel daily. We also feed her prescription Royal Canine dry dog food. She is healthy, happy, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
Meet Stella, a sassy, beauty sleep-catching, and sophisticated 10-year-old female dog whose calm demeanor and big brown eyes captured the hearts of her forever family back in 2017 when she was adopted from Dallas Pets Alive. Sadly, after her owner passed away, Stella found herself in need of a new forever home. Now, with her foster family, Stella has proven to be a delightful companion, especially for her furry foster brothers, with whom she shares a peaceful coexistence.

Although she prefers the laid-back life and isn't particularly interested in play, Stella's affectionate nature shines through as she showers her loved ones with wiggles and kisses. Stella is crate-trained and thrives in a calm environment. Stella's routine includes gentle outdoor breaks and quiet companionship throughout the day. With her sophisticated yet sassy personality, Stella would flourish in a calm home, where she can continue to be the sleepy sweetheart she is, offering her unique brand of affection and charm to her new forever family. Stella would make a great buddy for a work-from-home professional.

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on
vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
