Story
MEET BOSLEY! Bosley is a wonderful Beagle/Corgi blend that was hit by a car and injured. Someone brought him to the Fort Worth shelter and he was put on the last call list and was going to be euthanized. We saw the video of a very sweet boy whose hours were numbered if we didn't step up! We had to save his life! He had a pelvic surgery about a year ago and is now TOTALLY HEALED and still looking for a new home! This 4 year old Beagle boy is handsome and a total sweetheart! He weighs 25lbs. He is a little cautious of strangers at first (prefers to run away) but once he feels comfortable with you, he is a friendly boy! (treats can win him over in 5 minutes!). Enjoys his own yard and not a fan of leash walking. He would do best in a calm home without too many new people coming in. He is calm and has such a sweet personality and is house trained and crate trained! He would do best with another dog in the household and someone home more than not. BONUS: He does not bay at all or bark too much or have any Beagle bad behaviors! Want to meet this sweetheart? EMAIL: mini-mutts@outlook.com (fosters/adopters must reside in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding areas only) ONE WEEK HOME TRIAL BEFORE ADOPTING! ************************************************** * NO DOGS OVER 25 LBS * NO APARTMENTS * NO CHILDREN UNDER 8 YRS

Story
Hi, my name is Bono. I am an old fella at 12 years old with a devoted heart to the farm life and the energy to keep your land clear of squirrels. I will admit that I find chasing chickens as a fun game- so you may need to keep a watchful eye if you have any. I am fully grown at 46lbs in weight. I am a neutered male who is microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and started on preventatives. My adoption fee has been sponsored by a very generous donor so I am FREE to go home! Feel free to schedule a meet and greet with me by calling the animal shelter at 817.410.3370. I`m currently at a foster home being cared for so they will need a 24 hour heads up!You could describe me by a few of these characteristics:Energy level- `I prefer the term couch potato`Affectionate- `Let`s snuggle!`Strangers- `Absolutely! I love new people!`House Manners- `I`m really polite in a home`Kids- `Absolutely! I love kids!`Dogs- `Absolutely! I love other dogs!`Cats- `I have successfully lived with cats before`Health- `I am currently on medication for Ehrlichia and will need to continue it at my new home. Please ask a staff member for more information.`

Story
Doofenschmirtz came with his name from the shelter, and truly acts like a Doof! He enjoys laying near people and staying close to his family. He has fun with stuffed animal toys. He has a lot of energy in bursts, but will often lounge during the day. He does well with kids and knows 'place.' He will use you as a pillow and loves to run in his dreams. He would do best in a house with some big dog friends, and probably not with cats or other small fluffy animals. He is a 'chowhound' as they say, but is in great health and is fully vaccinated. He has done well in boarding locations with other animals and would love a friend to run around with! Doof was rescued from the Carrollton animal shelter on Halloween 2024 after being moved there from the Denton animal shelter. He is up to date with all medical needs and is microchipped. He loves to sniff around in the backyard. He goes after any food that is left out (his favorite is bread), and will need more training to let go of food he shouldn't have. He is housebroken and has learned a lot over the last year about what it means to live in a home. We're looking for a new home for him after our job and travel situation changed. He's not an evil villain and would make a great friend to another dog! Story
Merry came to DPA as a stray mom from CCAS after all of her puppies were adopted. When her foster we saw her sweet face they couldnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t look away. Merry was incredibly sick when she was pulled, battling distemper and pneumonia and came dangerously close to not making it. But this sweet girl has a whole lot of strength and she survived and is now thriving. True to her name, Merry is a happy, gentle soul. Even at her sickest, she wagged her tail and greeted each day with quiet optimism. Today, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s low energy, calm, and content just being close to her people. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a professional cuddler who loves curling up in your lap and soaking in affection. Toys arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t her main thing but she absolutely loves treats. Merry is leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s done well with other dogs and hasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t met kids or cats yet. Her ideal home would be a peaceful, warm, low key environment where she can relax, cuddle, and feel safe. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/ For more information, you can email adopt@dallaspetsalive.org.December 24, 2025, 1:02 am
