Story
Bruno is an active, fun-loving guy who needs a secure fence and an experienced home. He likes female dogs and likes people. Bruno knows many of his basic commands but training is still needed for this good looking boy. Bruno likes to get out and about to see what is going on in the world. He has lots of Malinois energy and walks and jogs are a good way for him to burn it off He is not a fan of bicycles however and takes a dim view of cyclists riding by. Small dogs are also not on his list of favorites either. He generally is not reactive to other dogs unless the other dog initiates something. Bruno won’t back down from that but can be easily corrected. An experienced handler is what this boy needs to help him learn what is acceptable. He does become hyper stimulated when around a group of dogs. He’s much more focused & cooperative with training, walking & commands when walked alone or at a distance from the pack. Training would be much more successful when he is away from other dogs as opposed to a group lesson

Lottie was found by a Good Samaritan who took her in from the street. When no one came to claim Lottie, German Shepherd Rescue stepped in with a lifeline. We quickly learned that Lottie has a congenital eye condition that impairs her vision. She has some sight in one eye and none in the other. Lottie is hanging out in a foster home and playing like crazy with the resident dogs. She loves following the other dogs around and Surprise! Lottie positively loves to swim! She has no problem getting in and out of the pool now that she has been shown the steps, and she loves splashing around with her foster siblings. If you have a big heart and another friendly dog, Lottie could be just the right addition to your family!

Fauna and her sister Flora found themselves in a scary, overcrowded shelter, and were starting to lose hope. Thankfully, the GSROC team was able to make room for them, and we have welcomed them into our care. Fauna is a playful, agile puppy. She enjoys playing with Flora as well as other friendly dogs, and loves to snuggle with her human. We would love for Fauna and Flora to stay together, or for each to go to a home with another friendly dog.

Flora is a bit more reserved than Fauna, but still loves to play with Fauna and with other friendly dogs. We would love for Flora and Fauna to find a home together, or for each to go to a home with another friendly dog.

Click Here to Sponsor Me!  Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed.org/adoption-application   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed.org/adoption-process  Hi! My name is Honey and I definitely live up to my name. My foster mom says she calls me Honey because I am super sweet. I'm a little shy at first, but as soon as I know I can trust you, I just want your love & to love you. Psst... this can easily be accomplished by brushing me!! (Hint, hint!!)     I am a female, Belgian Malinois mix and around 3 yrs young. I play well with other dogs of all sizes, I'm ok with cats & children. Sometimes I do like chasing squirrels though because they sit there and laugh at me.    I was abandoned by my owner when they moved and left Blue & I behind. I was forced to live outside with Blue in the front yard of my old house. The new residents wouldn't let us come inside and fed us their scraps if they had any. Then, one day, Blue and I were out front playing and some scary person just snatched me up and took me to this stinky, scary place that had a bunch of other dogs there. I didn't like that place. After being there a few weeks I was scheduled to be put down, but thankfully an independent Rescuer, who originally saw me on the street and was trying to help me saw my picture along with my buddy Blue, and found a rescue to come save me. I arrived at my foster mom’s house and I was so happy to see my buddy Blue there too!! He's my best friend, my rock, my solid, my everything. I'm a very well behaved girl! I love to play hide and seek with Blue. I'm submissive and avoid confrontation. I still need some help with basic commands, but in time, I will get there. I am a people pleaser and wouldn't want to disappoint you!   To meet me submit an application at:https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html  March 30, 2025, 11:35 pm

Story
7 month old Bandit was rescued by a kind animal lover who then was told by her landlord she could not keep him.  He is now in a GSROC foster home where he is being socialized with other dogs and people.  He is housebroken and likes other dogs. Bandit is a typical puppy – filled with energy and exuberance.  He loves to romp, play and have a grand ole time.  Due to his exuberance, we recommend homes with school age children or older.  Toddlers and little children may be knocked over by Bandit while he plays. Bandit knows the importance of learning his puppy social skills and he is eager to learn all he can.  He knows how important it is and can’t wait to get started. Please remember, adopting a puppy is not everyone’s cup of tea.  As cute as they are – puppies demand a large investment of time, patience, and training.  They are inquisitive, have endless energy and get into just about everything.  They dig, chew, and seemingly never stop! Think long and hard about your lifestyle. If you are not willing to invest the time and training to ensure your puppy matures into the wonderful dog – then please consider an older dog. Please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: /https://www.gsroc.org/application/  An adoption counselor will contact you to go over your application and assist you in determining which dog may be best for your particular situation. Story
18 month old Angelo lost his home due to divorce and landed in a shelter.  The shelter staff contacted GSROC as he had quickly become a shelter favorite. Angelo spent a few days at the home of one of our volunteers.   He is a happy guy who got along well with the other dogs in her home.  Angelo is always ready to play and have fun.  After all – he still has lots of puppy playfulness inside. This boy sometimes takes his role of protector a bit too seriously.  He needs an experience owner who will provide him with the structure and limits he craves.   For that reason, we recommend him for a quieter, adult home . Please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: /https://www.gsroc.org/application/  An adoption counselor will contact you to go over your application and assist you in determining which dog may be best for your particular situation. Story
Dalton is a spitfire! He is a busy, bouncy, nosy puppy who thinks that he is the center of the universe. Soon after arriving at GSROC, Dalton bounced his way into a fractured leg, so he had to wear a splint for several weeks. He found that most unflattering and annoying and he had a lot to say about it. Dalton is out of his splint now and learning boundaries. His ideal home will be familiar with a bossy puppy. He loves to play with other dogs. Dalton is fearful of strangers at first, but quickly warms up once he knows that he is safe. We recommend a home with older children as he doesn’t care for bikes, skateboards or roller skates. Dalton is a diamond in the rough that just needs a little polish. Someone patient, gentle and with GSD experience is all it will take to get him on the path to success.
