Story
Meet Gypsy! She is 3 years old and her prior owner said she does well with other dogs, respectful kids and even cats! She walks well on leash, loves nature and the outdoors. She is an amazing travel companion too! She is extremely smart and takes after her Belgian Malinois side of being a quick learner and loves to have jobs and tasks. Her Pitbull nature makes her very affectionate and loving. She was first found living on the street and is weary of strangers so will need a patient family to show her she can trust them. She learns to love and trust quickly. Car rides are one of her favorite things and she always buckles up in her doggy seatbelt for safety without a problem. Gypsy also enjoys being in the water. If you're looking for a loyal friend who's ready for adventures and has a magical tale to tell, Gypsy is the dog for you.April 22, 2024, 10:04 pm

Leah IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-23-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Leah, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22329&name=LeahLeah came to us a terrified, shut down, feral dog whom animal control had confiscated from a very bad situation. She was so shut down, it took a long (long!) time to get her to allow any type of interaction with humans. We spent month after month earning her trust, socializing her, and teaching her to overcome her many fears. Around 6 years old now, she moved from the training facility into a foster home and is doing fantastic, but will need a special adopter. At first, she was scared to enter the house, the tile scared her, and it took coaxing for her to enter. Leah now seeks affection, is playing with toys, plays with her human foster, is totally comfortable being inside, crate trained, potty trained, and is learning that the world isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t such a scary place. She went to the beach for the first time and loved it!While she&#39s your normal, energetic Maligator in her foster home, she is still figuring out the world outside of those doors. She spends time every day being exposed to new things, but when she&#39s scared she does try to bolt. She used to hit the end of the leash and frantically chew to break free (which is why she wears a long fur saver), but now, when something new and loud is that scary, she bolts and stops when she hits the end of the leash, even going into a sit. Leah is a jaw snapping, toy playing, chew obsessed Malinois in her home and is going to need someone who understands Mals, who can supply structure, who is patient, and who can slowly build trust with her. Because she&#39s such a flight risk, we are going to be very careful about where we place her, because she means the world to us.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.April 23, 2024, 5:47 am

They were being given away &#39free to good home&#39 and were rescued by an animal lover who didn&#39t want to see them land in the wrong hands! Fiona settled into the kennel life very easily and charmed her way into the hearts of all of the volunteers. She needed treatment for a cancerous tumor that she likely got when she became pregnant with her pups. The good news here is that she is done with her treatments and has been cancer free for over 6 months! Yay for Fiona! Fiona would love a home to call her own. She has been to obedience training, knows all her basic commands and walks well on a leash. She would do best in a home with older kids and no other dogs or cats. She loves car rides and would love an active lifestyle! If Fiona sounds like a fit for you, please let us know. For more information and the adoption application for Koa, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22760&name=KoaKoa was originally found as a stray in a rural highway town. Animal Control does not respond to calls for strays in this area. Their suggestion was to let Koa remain on the streets. Koaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s finders would not leave him to fend for himself - they took him in and began searching for an owner. They took all of the responsible steps to try and find someone who might be missing this magnificent dog. After tirelessly searching, they called Coastal asking for our help. We triple checked the work they had done and did our own search of lost dog post and then agreed to make room for Koa! We have been getting to know Koa and we are so impressed with this young boy. He is extremely smart, super friendly and a great walking buddy! We believe Koa is just under a year old and he is going to be an XL kinda guy. His DNA may very well show him to be a Belgian Tervuren. We will have to wait and see! If you are interested in Koa, please fill out our application and we would love to introduce you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. Story
Hey friends! Porkchop was born Sept 30, 2024. He's is super loveable and full of energy. He loves to play catch and visit the dog park. We wish we could keep him but we simply do not have the space or time to match his energy and keep him active. We listed him as having behavioral issues but it has more to do with him being bored with our slower paced lifestyle and lack of space. He needs someone who can give him a Lot of attention and maybe a bit of training.

Story
I need to find Shadow a new home, she is 2y and 4m very active and energetic, super athletic and very agile. She loves the outdoors and has a protective personality. She can be aggressive but at first but acclimates very well with time. Being completely transparent she needs a lot of work and proper training that I just wasn’t able to give her. Unfortunately with my current situation I’m unable to give her what she deserves. She is family and it’s one of the hardest decisions I have ever have to make. I prefer someone that knows how to handle a very active doc, someone that will give her love, proper care and attention she needs.

Story
Gorgeous, house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, loves to be active, knows her basic commands, and ready to go home with you; that’s our Daisy Ann! Daisy’s foster mom recently had this to say: “Daisy Ann is a beautiful dog. She is protective and loyal. She loves her adult humans and wants to be with them often. She likes to walk and play with toys and her humans!” Daisy Ann is a super-duper happy girl - just look at that face! She’s big, beautiful, and bright! She is about 2.5 years old, about 75 pounds, food motivated, and good with calm dogs. She is shy and needs confidence around both people and dogs - that's where you come in! If you are a strong and active pack leader who will keep up the good work and show her that she is safe, Daisy Ann is looking for you! She isn't looking for kitties, however, and would do best with respectful kids that are at least 10 years old. Please fill out an application to meet this gorgeous girl today!April 22, 2024, 10:04 pm

Uber friendly, just call me Xena Warrior Princess, warrior of love. I am a 98 lb., 4-5-year-old beauty; at least that is what I am told! When we first meet, I'll likely try to hold hands with you by giving you my paw. Next up? Belly rubs, please. After that? Well, the sky is the limit, right? You cannot do better than me for a wonderful, super-duper, great dog: young adult, potty trained, OK with other big dogs, know basic commands, love to catch the water from the hose, love my toys, and will love you more than you can imagine. Currently in Orange County, CA., my hooman pawrents had to give me up because they were older and no longer able to take care of me. Will you be my best friend and play with me?
