Nakano turned 6 years old on July 25 of this year. She is a purebred Belgain Mallanois who was purchased from MalMan K9 breeders in Pleasanton, CA. She is a wonderful dog, no health or behavioural issues whatsoever. We have all of her breeder paperwork as well as her full veterinary visit history. She is fully up-to-date with shots. We are planning to retire to Italy and cannot bring her with us so we are looking for a great new home for her.

Story
Rocky Road is a gangly, fast-growing German shepherd-Malinois puppy. He was found in good condition as a stray and never claimed, so someone really missed out on raising a wonderful boy! Now he is available to a loving forever family, perhaps yours? * 6 months old * 36 lbs. * Sweet and a little shy * Fuzzy and floppy * Knows "sit" * Cuddly * Easy to handle and walk * Receptive to training Here's what his foster mom had to say about him: "Rocky sleeps well in his dog bed during the night. He also does well in the crate whenever we go out and seems comfortable in it. He is not yet house broken, but we are working on it. He doesn't bark a lot, only when he wants us to play with him. Same goes with mouthiness; he becomes a bit nippy when he wants our attention, but it is usually solved when we distract him with his toys. He is extremely smart and very quick to learn because he is both food and play motivated and is very affectionate. He loves to cuddle up next to us!" To make this handsome boy a cherished member of your family, visit FAAS any afternoon but Monday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, California.

Story
Stanley, a 3-year-old, 93-pound neutered Malinois/Shepherd mix, found in a Central Valley orchard, shows the training of a cherished pet with a great personality. Adaptable, curious, and confident, Stanley responds well to commands (sit, high five, down, heal) and is excellent on a leash. He is highly intelligent and is kind, sweet and friendly with all people. He is housebroken, polite around food, likes to ride in cars, and comfortable in his crate without barking. He is in peak condition, fully vaccinated, and adaptable to various diets. Stanley thrives as an only pet, given his strong prey drive and lack of dog socialization. Ideal for him is a secure, spacious property and an owner appreciative of his intelligence, independence, and need for activity and companionship. If you are looking for a loyal, funny, outdoor-loving companion who is just as content indoors, Stanley could be your match. Reach out to learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet.

Story
Odette is a cheerful and spirited Belgian Malinois who loves the outdoors and can keep up with an active lifestyle. She is gentle and affectionate, often giving sweet kisses to her fosters and handling her treats and toys with care. Playful and social, Odette enjoys the company of other dogs when properly introduced. Odette thrives when she has a job to do and appreciates a home where her humans can delegate tasks to her. She loves to stay productive but also cherishes essential snuggle time. She is well-behaved in the house, enjoys cuddling on the couch, and sleeps on the bed near the pillow. However, Odette is not suited for first-time dog owners, homes with small children, small pets, or cats due to her high prey drive. A fence might slow her down, but it won't stop her from chasing critters. Belgian Malinois are historically herding animals and can make excellent guard dogs. Odette would thrive in a home with ample space to roam and attentive humans who can provide her with the mental and physical stimulation she needs. Additionally, Odette loves camping, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures. She is ready to begin her forever adventure. To schedule a meet and greet, fill out the online application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RTUG/Dog. A volunteer will respond in a few days.

Story
Ember is a gorgeous Belgian Malinois/ Dutch Shepherd Mix. This fun and affectionate girl was rescued from the Martinez animal shelter where she was found hanging out politely with a small doggie play group. We don't know much about how this girl started out in life, but we love her for her friendly, eager to please temperment! Upon being rescued from the shelter, she hoped in the back of the car and gently made her way to the front to give her rescuer some gentle "thank you" face kisses. She rode perfectly in the car the whole way home to freedom.    Ember loves people and affection, often leaning into them for pets. She also enjoys a good game of fetch. She is dog friendly with all dogs she's met, people friendly and kid friendly! She is learning basic obedience in her foster home including sit, stairs, and walking politely on leash. This pretty girl's perfect home would be living the good life with her people and other doggie friends. She's been an escape artist in her crate, so we think she would thrive in an active home that wants her to be a part of it! ##2162098##

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereHello from Milo! Milo is a gentle and loving soul. This sweet boy may have had a rough start in life, but he has made tremendous strides in improving his social abilities in his foster home. He was once fearful and nervous around new situations and people. Now, he eagerly welcomes guests to his home, wagging his tail in excitement for some tasty treats. He's even conquered his fear of passing strangers on the leash! (He still may have some stranger danger but it's getting better every day.) Fosters have reported that Milo is a playful and healthy pup who loves nothing more than being outside, playing, and exploring with his furry foster doggie siblings. He's full of affection and adores being petted, and his favorite place to cuddle up is right next to his beloved humans on the bed. His foster family calls him "Sunny Boy"! Milo is a good sleeper, sleeping soundly through the night, too. Milo will thrive in a calm and quiet household and environment, with routine and consistency so that he can continue to feel safe. He has learned to be a more confident dog! While Milo's past makes it hard to predict how he'll react around children or cats, one thing is for sure: this dog is full of love and loyalty, waiting for the perfect family to give him the love and care he deserves. With his good nature and willingness to learn, Milo is ready to be a faithful companion for life. Could you be the one to give him the loving home he's been waiting for? Milo is about 3 years old and weighs 59 lbs. He would prefer a quiet and adult-only home at this time. He adores people and forms deep bonds with his humans. And yes, he has mastered the art of "puppy eyes"! Max is incredibly soft and adores affection and belly rubs. Don't let his senior status fool you; full of life, this pup is far from retirement and maintains excellent mobility, hearing, and eyesight. He relishes going on walks, car rides, and is always eager for new adventures, such as exploring the coastal trail at Half Moon Bay or hiking on local nature trails. His current routine includes two daily walks around the neighborhood and mental exercises to keep him healthy and content. He reveals his playful side when pouncing on plush squeaking toys or zooming around the yard. Max has mastered many new skills, proving that older dogs are both capable and intelligent. He is crate trained, and understands numerous commands and associated hand signals. Max is highly food motivated and fearlessly attempts anything for treats, from navigating a long tunnel to jumping over small objects. His food motivation aids in his training and eagerness to learn new tricks. Max resides in a suburban foster home with a yard enclosed by a 6-foot fence, where he enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor time. While Max prefers to be the sole focus of attention, he has enjoyed a few playdates with select tolerant dogs.  If you're searching for a truly remarkable companion with a sweet and affectionate demeanor, look no further than Max. I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAmana is a sweet and loving soul who was found as a stray running through traffic. She now lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with her foster mom and dad and enjoys lounging at home or being out on an adventure. She is a medium energy GSD who is easily tired with some fetch or running with other dogs. She is house trained, is fine being left alone, rides calmly in cars, and walks nicely on leash. Amana is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. She has learned sit, down, stay, come, leave it, take it, paw, up, back up, and off. She has prey drive so should go to a cat-free household. She is good with older children and has ignored toddlers and small children. She could be a solo dog or go to a home with a well-matched dog. Check her out at @adopt_oas_amana on Instagram!
